Les concepteurs s\u2019efforcent d&rsquo;accro\u00eetre la sensibilit\u00e9 des syst\u00e8mes optiques, en particulier le rapport signal\/bruit (SNR pour Signal Noise Ratio), pour couvrir un plus large \u00e9ventail de cas d&rsquo;utilisation. Les r\u00e9gulateurs classiques \u00e0 faible courant de repos, que l\u2019on privil\u00e9gie pour les applications wearables, imposent certains compromis qui d\u00e9gradent le rapport signal\/bruit au poignet, avec des ondulations \u00e0 haute amplitude, des ondulations basse-fr\u00e9quence et des temps de stabilisation longs. Certains concepteurs se sont m\u00eame tourn\u00e9s vers des alternatives \u00e0 courant de repos plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour surmonter ces inconv\u00e9nients, mais ils doivent faire face \u00e0 une consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie accrue, ce qui r\u00e9duit l&rsquo;autonomie de la batterie ou n\u00e9cessite une batterie plus grosse. Le MAX20345 est dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;un r\u00e9gulateur \u00ab\u00a0buck-boost\u00a0\u00bb (d\u00e9volteur-survolteur) d\u2019un genre nouveau, bas\u00e9 sur une architecture innovante, optimis\u00e9e pour produire des mesures tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cises de fr\u00e9quence cardiaque, d\u2019oxym\u00e9trie (SpO2), et autres mesures optiques. Le r\u00e9gulateur d\u00e9livre le faible courant de repos d\u00e9sir\u00e9, sans les inconv\u00e9nients qui peuvent d\u00e9grader le rapport signal\/bruit et, par cons\u00e9quent, permet de gagner jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 7 dB (selon les conditions de mesure).<\/p>\n<p>Le MAX20345 est \u00e9galement le dernier n\u00e9 d&rsquo;une gamme de PMIC ultra-basse consommation, destin\u00e9s aux petits appareils wearables et aux dispositifs IoT, qui contribuent \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le rendement, sans sacrifier l\u2019autonomie de la batterie. Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces besoins, le MAX20345 int\u00e8gre un chargeur de batterie lithium-ion, six r\u00e9gulateurs de tension, chacun \u00e0 courant de repos ultra-faible ; trois r\u00e9gulateurs d\u00e9volteurs nanoPower (900 nA typique), et trois r\u00e9gulateurs LDO \u00e0 courant de repos ultra-faible (pouvant descendre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 550 nA). &nbsp;Deux commutateurs de charge permettent de d\u00e9connecter certains p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques syst\u00e8me pour minimiser la d\u00e9charge de la batterie. Les r\u00e9gulateurs \u00ab\u00a0buck-boost\u00a0\u00bb comme les r\u00e9gulateurs \u00ab\u00a0buck\u00a0\u00bb simples disposent tous d\u2019une fonction DVS (Dynamic Voltage Scaling, ou mise \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle de tension dynamique), qui permet des \u00e9conomies d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie suppl\u00e9mentaires si des tensions plus faibles peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es dans des conditions favorables.
