Le capteur utiliserait de l&rsquo;ADN simple brin &#8211; appel\u00e9 aptam\u00e8res &#8211; dans le capteur qui se fixerait aux prot\u00e9ines de la mol\u00e9cule du virus COVID-19 s&rsquo;il est pr\u00e9sent, avec une r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lectrique mesur\u00e9e dans l&rsquo;appareil pour signaler un r\u00e9sultat positif.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Pour tester si on a le virus, l&rsquo;utilisateur branche le petit capteur sur la prise d&rsquo;alimentation d&rsquo;un t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable et lance une application con\u00e7ue pour l&rsquo;appareil. L&rsquo;utilisateur place alors une goutte de salive sur le capteur et les r\u00e9sultats apparaissent sur le t\u00e9l\u00e9phone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Le capteur peut \u00e9galement tester le virus sur les surfaces en frottant un \u00e9couvillon sur la surface \u00e0 tester puis sur le capteur. De plus, Tabib-Azar, il pourrait \u00eatre en mesure de d\u00e9tecter la pr\u00e9sence de COVID-19 dans des particules microscopiques flottantes dans l&rsquo;air dans des espaces clos tels qu&rsquo;un ascenseur. Une combinaison sp\u00e9cifique de prot\u00e9ines serait unique pour le COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0En augmentant le nombre de d\u00e9tecteurs et d&rsquo;ADN simple brin\u00a0\u00bb, explique Tabib-Azar, \u00ab\u00a0nous pouvons augmenter la pr\u00e9cision du capteur et r\u00e9duire les faux positifs et les faux n\u00e9gatifs\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Le capteur est con\u00e7u pour \u00eatre r\u00e9utilisable en \u00e9tant capable de d\u00e9truire l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent en produisant un petit courant \u00e9lectrique qui pourrait chauffer et \u00e9liminer ou d\u00e9sint\u00e9grer le virus. Selon Tabib-Azar, l&rsquo;ensemble du processus utiliserait peu de la puissance de la batterie du t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Une autre m\u00e9thode possible d&rsquo;utilisation du capteur consisterait \u00e0 placer l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon de salive sur des feuilles jetables \u00e0 placer sur le dessus du capteur. Cela r\u00e9duirait la contamination crois\u00e9e sur le capteur et \u00e9liminerait la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de chauffer et de d\u00e9truire l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon par la suite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">L&rsquo;appareil peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre con\u00e7u pour t\u00e9l\u00e9charger les r\u00e9sultats sur un serveur central qui cartographie les r\u00e9sultats positifs dans une zone, donnant aux chercheurs une image plus claire et plus pr\u00e9cise de l&rsquo;endroit o\u00f9 se trouvent les points chauds de contamination au virus. Parce que la technologie &#8211; et un prototype &#8211; ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s pour d\u00e9tecter le virus Zika, explique Tabib-Azar, il esp\u00e8re pouvoir disposer
