Il est \u00e9galement \u00e0 noter que la fabrique de plaquettes n&rsquo;est pas labellis\u00e9e comme installation de 3 nm, bien qu&rsquo;elle soit susceptible de migrer la production vers le n\u0153ud de 3 nm et au-del\u00e0 au cours de sa dur\u00e9e de vie. L&#8217;emplacement exact de la Fab en Arizona n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9, ni le montant du soutien financier que la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 recevra pour construire la fabrique de wafers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Ces investissements attirent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des subventions pouvant atteindre le tiers de leur valeur en termes d&rsquo;all\u00e9gements fiscaux.TSMC a un plan de fabrication am\u00e9ricain \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tude depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, mais a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment sous la pression de l&rsquo;administration du pr\u00e9sident Trump pour concr\u00e9tiser ses plans (voir&nbsp;<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewsanalog.com\/news\/us-talks-intel-tsmc-about-building-local-foundry-fabs\">US talks to Intel, TSMC about building local foundry fabs<\/a><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">La fonderie a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que la construction devrait commencer en 2021 et que la production de puces devrait commencer en 2024 en utilisant la technologie de processus de fabrication de 5 nm de l&rsquo;entreprise. Le co\u00fbt total du projet serait d&rsquo;environ 12 milliards de dollars de 2021 \u00e0 2029.La fonderie a ajout\u00e9 que l&rsquo;usine aurait une capacit\u00e9 de fabrication de 20 000 d\u00e9marrages de tranches par mois et cr\u00e9erait environ 1 600 emplois directement et des milliers d&rsquo;autres indirectement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">\u00abCette installation aux \u00c9tats-Unis nous permet non seulement de mieux soutenir nos clients et nos partenaires, mais elle nous donne \u00e9galement plus d&rsquo;occasions d&rsquo;attirer des talents de niveau mondial. Ce projet est d&rsquo;une importance strat\u00e9gique critique pour un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me am\u00e9ricain de semiconducteurs dynamique et comp\u00e9titif qui permet aux grandes entreprises am\u00e9ricaines de fabriquer leurs produits semiconducteurs de pointe aux \u00c9tats-Unis et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de la proximit\u00e9 d&rsquo;une fonderie et d&rsquo;un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me de semiconducteurs de classe mondiale \u00ab\u00a0, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dans un communiqu\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u00e0 suivre: se pencher dans le sens du vent<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Il y a des indices dans cette citation que TSMC a \u00e9t\u00e9 sous pression \u00e0 la fois du gouvernement am\u00e9ricain directement et indirectement par le biais de son principal client Apple, afin de cr\u00e9er une usine de pointe aux \u00c9tats-Unis. \u00c0 lui seul, Apple \u00e9tait responsable d&rsquo;environ 23% des ventes de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en 2019, selon des rapports (voir <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewsanalog.com\/news\/hisilicon-breaks-top-ten-chip-vendor-ranking\">HiSilicon breaks into top ten chip vendor ranking<\/a><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">TSMC pr\u00e9f\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement maintenir sa fabrication dans de grands clusters de Fabs sur son \u00eele natale de Taiwan. Il a d\u00e9j\u00e0 une petite Fab am\u00e9ricaine &#8211; \u00e0 Camas, Washington. Cette installation \u00e0 des origines historiques li\u00e9e \u00e0 une op\u00e9ration de co-entreprise appel\u00e9e WaferTech \u00e9tablie en 1996. Les partenaires originaux &#8211; Altera, Analog Devices et ISSI &#8211; voulaient une fabrication locale et un approvisionnement garanti pendant les p\u00e9riodes \u00ab\u00a0d&rsquo;attribution\u00a0\u00bb, mais ont ensuite abandonn\u00e9 la co-entreprise. Cela a laiss\u00e9 WaferTech comme filiale \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re de TSMC et sa seule Fab aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Si cela se concr\u00e9tise, une usine en Arizona serait le deuxi\u00e8me site de fabrication de TSMC aux \u00c9tats-Unis, m\u00eame si elle poss\u00e8de des centres de conception \u00e0 Austin, Texas et San Jose, Californie. TSMC poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des fabriques de wafers \u00e0 Nanjing et \u00e0 Shanghai, en Chine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Cependant, la Fab pr\u00e9vue en Arizona n&rsquo;est pas grande selon les normes de TSMC<\/p>\n<p>La Fab en Arizona devrait venir apr\u00e8s la Fab 18 de TSMC \u00e0 Tainan, dans le sud de Ta\u00efwan, qui devrait commencer \u00e0 produire du silicium en technologie 5 nm en 2020. Cette fabrique devrait \u00eatre construite en trois phases sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es. Mais une fois que les trois seront en production, la capacit\u00e9 annuelle estim\u00e9e de l&rsquo;installation d\u00e9passera le million de tranches de 12 pouces, approchant les 100 000 mises en service par mois contre 20,000 en Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">L&rsquo;investissement pr\u00e9vu pour Fab 18 est de 500 milliards de dollars NT, soit environ 16,6 milliards de dollars am\u00e9ricains. En octobre 2019, TSMC aurait lanc\u00e9 la construction d&rsquo;une Fab de 3 nm qui devrait \u00eatre achev\u00e9e en 2023 avec un investissement sur sa dur\u00e9e de vie pr\u00e9vue de 19,6 milliards
