Le syst\u00e8me est utilis\u00e9 pour mod\u00e9liser le virus Covid-19 dans le cadre de la lutte contre la pand\u00e9mie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Fugaku, construit avec le syst\u00e8me sur une puce A64FX \u00e0 48 c\u0153urs de Fujitsu, a un r\u00e9sultat Linpack haute performance (HPL) de 415,5 p\u00e9taflops. C&rsquo;est pr\u00e8s de trois fois les performances du pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent supercalculateur le plus puissant, Summit, install\u00e9 au Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) dans le Tennessee, USA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Le syst\u00e8me a 158 976 n\u0153uds dans 432 racks avec un total de 4,85 PBytes de m\u00e9moire connect\u00e9s \u00e0 163PB\/s. Dans un mouvement loin des lumi\u00e8res clignotantes traditionnelles, les quatre supports du milieu sont vides, permettant une projection vid\u00e9o du mont Fuji (un autre nom pour Fugaku) \u200b\u200bcomme s\u00e9quence de d\u00e9marrage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">En pr\u00e9cision simple ou encore r\u00e9duite, qui sont souvent utilis\u00e9s dans les applications d&rsquo;apprentissage automatique et d&rsquo;intelligence artificielle, les performances de pointe de Fugaku sont sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 1000 p\u00e9taflops (1 exaflops), inaugurant l&rsquo;\u00e2ge exascale des supercalculculateurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Le nouveau syst\u00e8me est install\u00e9 au RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) \u00e0 Kobe, au Japon. Les chercheurs l&rsquo;utilisent pour \u00e9valuer l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 de plus de 2 000 m\u00e9dicaments qui pourraient \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour traiter les patients du Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0J&rsquo;esp\u00e8re que l&rsquo;informatique de pointe d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e pour Fugaku contribuera \u00e0 des avanc\u00e9es majeures sur des d\u00e9fis sociaux difficiles tels que Covid-19\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Satoshi Matsuoka, chef du centre de Riken pour la science informatique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Le syst\u00e8me le plus \u00e9conome en \u00e9nergie du Green500 est le MN-3, bas\u00e9 sur un nouveau serveur de Preferred Networks. Il a atteint un record de 21,1 gigaflops \/ watt lors de son fonctionnement \u00e0 1,62 p\u00e9taflops. Le syst\u00e8me tire son efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique sup\u00e9rieure de la puce MN-Core, un acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur optimis\u00e9 pour l&rsquo;arithm\u00e9tique matricielle. Il est class\u00e9 num\u00e9ro 395 dans la liste TOP500.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">En deuxi\u00e8me position en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, on trouve un nouveau supercalculateur NVIDIA Selene, un SuperPOD DGX A100 utilisant les nouveaux GPU A100. Il se classe au septi\u00e8me rang dans le TOP500 pour la performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"fr\">Le supercalculateur Fugaku est le neuvi\u00e8me en termes d&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, avec 14,67 gigaflops par watt.
