La nouvelle puce peut basculer entre plusieurs fonctions optiques non lin\u00e9aires en temps r\u00e9el, ce qui ouvre de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s pour les sources de lumi\u00e8re accordables, l&rsquo;informatique optique et la communication quantique.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"996\">Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une \u00e9tape cl\u00e9 pour les secteurs de la photonique et de la technologie quantique. McMahon de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Cornell. La collaboration introduit un guide d&rsquo;ondes \u00e0 base de nitrure de silicium dont la non-lin\u00e9arit\u00e9 peut \u00eatre modifi\u00e9e dynamiquement \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de mod\u00e8les de lumi\u00e8re structur\u00e9s. Lorsqu&rsquo;il est \u00e9clair\u00e9 par une lumi\u00e8re de \u00ab\u00a0programmation\u00a0\u00bb sp\u00e9cifique, le dispositif modifie ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s optiques, ce qui permet d&rsquo;ex\u00e9cuter plusieurs fonctions non lin\u00e9aires sur la m\u00eame puce physique.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1966\">En utilisant cette approche, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 la mise en forme arbitraire d&rsquo;impulsions, la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de seconde harmonique accordable, la formation de lumi\u00e8re holographique et la conception inverse en temps r\u00e9el de fonctions optiques.
