D\u2019ici \u00e0 2028, STARLight vise \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des solutions orient\u00e9es applications, en se concentrant sur des secteurs industriels cl\u00e9s tels que les march\u00e9s des <em>data\u2009centers<\/em>, des clusters d\u2019intelligence artificielle (IA), des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications et de l\u2019automobile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\"><strong>La photonique sur silicium est une technologie privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e pour g\u00e9rer les interconnexions optiques<\/strong> des <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">data\u2009centers<\/span><\/em> et des clusters d\u2019IA, tant dans la perspective d\u2019une croissance \u00ab\u00a0verticale\u00a0\u00bb par plus de connexions optiques dans les serveurs (<em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">scale-up<\/span><\/em>) \u00ab\u00a0qu\u2019horizontale\u00a0\u00bb par l\u2019augmentation du nombre de serveurs dans les clusters (<em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">scale-out<\/span><\/em>), ainsi que pour d\u2019autres technologies telles que le LIDAR, les applications spatiales et les processeurs photoniques d\u2019IA n\u00e9cessitant une meilleure efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et un transfert de donn\u00e9es \u00e0 faible consommation. Cette technologie allie les capacit\u00e9s de fabrication \u00e0 haut rendement du silicium CMOS, couramment utilis\u00e9 dans les circuits \u00e9lectroniques, avec les avantages de la photonique, qui utilise la lumi\u00e8re pour transmettre les donn\u00e9es.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Relever des d\u00e9fis majeurs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le d\u00e9veloppement de circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s photoniques avanc\u00e9s devra relever plusieurs d\u00e9fis\u2009:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Modulation \u00e0 haut d\u00e9bit<\/strong>\u2009: la cr\u00e9ation de modulateurs haute efficacit\u00e9 capables de fonctionner \u00e0 des d\u00e9bits sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 200\u00a0Gbits\/s par voie constitue une priorit\u00e9 majeure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Int\u00e9gration de lasers<\/strong>\u2009: le d\u00e9veloppement de lasers embarqu\u00e9s fiables et efficaces sur puce est critique pour les syst\u00e8mes int\u00e9gr\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nouveaux mat\u00e9riaux<\/strong>\u2009: divers mat\u00e9riaux avanc\u00e9s seront explor\u00e9s avec des acteurs tels que SOITEC, le CEA-LETI, L\u2019imec, L\u2019UNIVERSIT\u00c9 PARIS-SACLAY, III-V LAB, LUMIPHASE, et int\u00e9gr\u00e9s sur une seule plateforme photonique sur silicium novatrice de type silicium sur isolant (SOI), Niobate de lithium sur isolant (LNOI) ou Titanate de baryum (BTO).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encapsulation et int\u00e9gration<\/strong>\u2009: l\u2019optimisation de l\u2019encapsulation et de l\u2019int\u00e9gration des circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s photoniques (PIC) aux circuits \u00e9lectroniques jouent un r\u00f4le primordial pour garantir l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du signal et r\u00e9duire la consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a
