Sandisk est en pourparlers de fusion avec Kioxia depuis sa s\u00e9paration d&rsquo;avec Western Digital.<\/p>\n<p>Les syst\u00e8mes d&rsquo;IA ont stimul\u00e9 la demande de m\u00e9moire HBM \u00e0 base de DRAM, dont SK Hynix a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 Samsung en tant que principal fournisseur. Micron, aux \u00c9tats-Unis, augmente \u00e9galement sa production de piles de m\u00e9moire HBM, qui repr\u00e9senteront <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/hbm-to-be-20-of-dram-market-in-2024\/\">20 % du march\u00e9 de la DRAM en 2024<\/a> et constitueront un moteur important pour l&rsquo;industrie des semi-conducteurs.<\/p>\n<p>Sandisk pr\u00e9voit de livrer les premiers \u00e9chantillons de sa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/sandisk-proposes-hbf-to-replace-hbm-enable-ai-at-the-edge\/\">m\u00e9moire HBF au cours du second semestre 2026<\/a>, ce qui indiquerait qu&rsquo;elle utilise sa technologie BiCS9. L&rsquo;entreprise \u00e9chantillonne d\u00e9j\u00e0 les composants de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration BiCS9 qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es lors de la conf\u00e9rence ISSCC 2025 en f\u00e9vrier. Cette technologie permet d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer de 33 % la vitesse de l&rsquo;interface NAND par rapport \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire flash 3D de 8e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration actuellement en production de masse, pour atteindre une vitesse d&rsquo;interface de 4,8 Gb\/s, qui sera n\u00e9cessaire pour les performances HBF. Les piles de puces HBM3e actuellement exp\u00e9di\u00e9es ont une vitesse d&rsquo;interface de 9,2 Gbits\/s par broche.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement au HBM, le HBF est destin\u00e9 aux charges de travail d&rsquo;inf\u00e9rence de l&rsquo;IA plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;\u00e0 la formation dans les grands centres de donn\u00e9es, les petites entreprises et les applications de pointe. Il vise une bande passante \u00ab\u00a0comparable\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 celle de HBM tout en offrant une capacit\u00e9 de 8 \u00e0 16 fois sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de HBM pour un co\u00fbt similaire.<\/p>\n<p>Sandisk affirme que la technologie BiCS9 permet \u00e9galement d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des entr\u00e9es\/sorties de donn\u00e9es, en r\u00e9duisant la consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie de 10 % pour les entr\u00e9es et de 34 % pour les sorties. En augmentant le nombre de couches de m\u00e9moire \u00e0 332 et en optimisant le plan d&rsquo;\u00e9tage pour une densit\u00e9 planaire accrue, la technologie am\u00e9liore la densit\u00e9 de bits de 59 %.<\/p>\n<h4>Groupe consultatif HBF<\/h4>\n<p>Le comit\u00e9 consultatif technique est compos\u00e9 d&rsquo;experts de l&rsquo;industrie et de responsables techniques de haut niveau, issus ou non de Sandisk, dont le professeur David Patterson et Raja Koduri.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Leur exp\u00e9rience collective et leurs conseils strat\u00e9giques seront d\u00e9terminants pour faire de HBF la future norme de m\u00e9moire pour l&rsquo;industrie de l&rsquo;intelligence artificielle, et pour affirmer que nous ne nous contentons pas de r\u00e9pondre aux attentes de nos clients et partenaires, mais que nous les d\u00e9passons \u00ab\u00a0, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Alper Ilkbahar, vice-pr\u00e9sident ex\u00e9cutif, directeur de la technologie et membre du comit\u00e9 consultatif technique de HBF chez Sandisk.<\/p>\n<p>Professeur \u00e9m\u00e9rite d&rsquo;informatique \u00e0 l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Californie \u00e0 Berkeley et ing\u00e9nieur distingu\u00e9 de Google, M. Patterson dirigera le comit\u00e9 consultatif technique et guidera le groupe vers des id\u00e9es et des d\u00e9cisions exploitables.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le HBF promet de jouer un r\u00f4le important dans l&rsquo;IA des centres de donn\u00e9es en fournissant une capacit\u00e9 de m\u00e9moire sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent avec une bande passante \u00e9lev\u00e9e, permettant aux charges de travail d&rsquo;inf\u00e9rence de s&rsquo;\u00e9tendre bien au-del\u00e0 des contraintes actuelles\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Patterson. \u00ab\u00a0Il pourrait faire baisser les co\u00fbts des nouvelles applications d&rsquo;IA qui sont actuellement inabordables.<\/p>\n<p>M. Koduri est PDG de la startup Oxmiq Labs, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 vice-pr\u00e9sident principal et architecte en chef chez AMD et vice-pr\u00e9sident ex\u00e9cutif des syst\u00e8mes de calcul acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 et du graphisme chez Intel. Il a dirig\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement des architectures de GPU Polaris, Vega et Navi d&rsquo;AMD, des GPU Arc et Ponte Vecchio d&rsquo;Intel, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 le fer de lance de l&rsquo;incursion d&rsquo;Intel dans le domaine des graphiques discrets.
