Pour cela, elle s&rsquo;appuie sur une approche innovante, fruit d&rsquo;une quinzaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es de recherche en micro et nano\u00e9lectronique.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Allier hautes performances et miniaturisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les centrales inertielles, notamment pr\u00e9sentes dans les smartphones, peuvent aussi \u00eatre utiles pour des applications comme les v\u00e9hicules autonomes, l&rsquo;aide \u00e0 la conduite ou la robotique industrielle. N\u00e9anmoins, de tels cas d&rsquo;usage n\u00e9cessitent une pr\u00e9cision de l&rsquo;ordre de quelques dizaines de centim\u00e8tres, au maximum.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong> Philippe Robert, cofondateur et CEO d&rsquo;iNGage : \u00ab\u00a0<\/strong>Il existe bien des centrales inertielles \u00e0 hautes performances, mais elles utilisent des capteurs volumineux et co\u00fbteux, \u00e0 l&rsquo;inverse, les syst\u00e8mes miniaturis\u00e9s actuels affichent un niveau de pr\u00e9cision limit\u00e9 : ils peuvent comporter une erreur de plusieurs m\u00e8tres au bout de quelques secondes. \u00bb Dans les deux cas, ces contraintes s&rsquo;av\u00e8rent incompatibles avec un grand nombre d&rsquo;applications.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0 iNGage, veut r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ce besoin en d\u00e9veloppant une centrale inertielle d&rsquo;un nouveau type. Celle-ci permettra de combiner \u00e0 la fois des performances \u00e9lev\u00e9es et un co\u00fbt accessible. En effet, ses dimensions seront r\u00e9duites, gr\u00e2ce aux micro et nanotechnologies, et elle affichera une performance sup\u00e9rieure par mm<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0de silicium, gr\u00e2ce au principe de d\u00e9tection exploit\u00e9 par iNGage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>D\u00e9tection par nanojauges pi\u00e9zor\u00e9sistives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Philippe Robert. explique comment cela est possible :\u00a0\u00ab Nous avons opt\u00e9 pour une nouvelle approche reposant sur un principe de d\u00e9tection pi\u00e9zor\u00e9sistive\u00a0 qui consiste \u00e0 mesurer la variation de la r\u00e9sistance de deux nanojauges, induite par la contrainte m\u00e9canique provoqu\u00e9e par les effets de l&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration et de la rotation. Cette technique est appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle nanom\u00e9trique, ce qui augmente la sensibilit\u00e9 du dispositif, donc ses performances. Notre diff\u00e9renciation majeure vient de l&rsquo;association entre le MEMS et le NEMS, son \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle nanom\u00e9trique.\u00a0Le MEMS pour la structure m\u00e9canique de notre centrale inertielle et le NEMS avec les nanojauges pi\u00e9zor\u00e9sistives. Cette approche permet de r\u00e9aliser des centrales inertielles \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle d&rsquo;un composant dont les performances ne sont pas accessibles aujourd&rsquo;hui en technologie MEMS capacitive, et donc d&rsquo;envisager de nouveaux cas d&rsquo;usage.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Une technologie issue d&rsquo;une quinzaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es de recherche au CEA-Leti et prot\u00e9g\u00e9e par plus de trente brevets.<\/p>\n<p>La start-up \u2013\u00a0laur\u00e9ate du concours d&rsquo;innovation i-Lab 2024\u00a0\u2013 s&rsquo;appuie sur de premiers r\u00e9sultats probants. Elle a en effet d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que son principe innovant de d\u00e9tection permettait de r\u00e9aliser des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rom\u00e8tres et des gyrom\u00e8tres \u00e0 trois axes, ainsi que des capteurs de pression, dot\u00e9s d&rsquo;un niveau de pr\u00e9cision compatible avec les applications envisag\u00e9es. Elle vise d\u00e9sormais \u2013\u00a0notamment via une lev\u00e9e de fonds\u00a0\u2013 \u00e0 produire des prototypes complets qui seront \u00e9valu\u00e9s par ses premiers clients, en particulier pour des applications de robotique industrielle, qui n\u00e9cessitent une grande pr\u00e9cision dans la localisation.
