L&rsquo;op\u00e9ration devrait s&rsquo;\u00e9lever \u00e0 environ 250 millions de livres sterling.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;expansion devrait couvrir le passage aux wafers de 200 mm, au lieu des wafers de 150 mm actuelles, pour une production en plus grand volume soutenue par l&rsquo;Automotive Transformation Fund du Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;usine qualifi\u00e9e pour l&rsquo;automobile, acquise en 2021 apr\u00e8s la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/uk-approves-vishay-deal-to-buy-newport-wafer-fab-with-restrictions\/\">vente forc\u00e9e de Nexperia<\/a>, dispose d\u00e9j\u00e0 d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me de production d&rsquo;\u00e9pitaxie G10-SiC qui prend en charge les wafers de 200 mm. Vishay avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 annonc\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/51m-for-vishay-newport-fab\/\">son intention d&rsquo;investir 51 millions de livres sterling dans le site<\/a> en novembre de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;outil de production \u00e9pi G10-SiC offre une structure de co\u00fbts de premier plan pour l&rsquo;\u00e9pitaxie \u00e0 200 mm, ce qui r\u00e9pond aux objectifs de productivit\u00e9 de Vishay\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Danilo Crippa, directeur principal de la R&amp;D pour le d\u00e9veloppement du SiC chez Vishay, lorsque les outils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9s l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/europe-approves-e2bn-support-for-sts-200mm-sic-line\/\">2 milliards d&rsquo;euros pour la ligne SiC de 200 mm de ST \u00e0 Catane<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/infineon-ships-first-sic-devices-from-200mm-wafers\/\">Infineon livre les premiers dispositifs SiC fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de plaquettes de 200 mm<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/wolfspeed-struggles\/\">Wolfspeed en difficult\u00e9 face aux co\u00fbts de l&rsquo;usine de 200 mm<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>STMicroelectronics, Infineon et Wolfspeed construisent tous des usines SIC de 200 mm pour approvisionner le march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;automobile. L&rsquo;usine a appartenu \u00e0 Infineon jusqu&rsquo;en 2017, apr\u00e8s son acquisition du fabricant de puces de puissance International Rectifier.<\/p>\n<p>Les demandes adress\u00e9es au gouvernement britannique ont \u00e9t\u00e9 transmises au Tr\u00e9sor, qui n&rsquo;a pas r\u00e9pondu.
