Traditionnellement, les qubits sont tr\u00e8s sensibles au bruit et n\u00e9cessitent une correction d&rsquo;erreur importante.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text v2\">Ocelot a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par une \u00e9quipe de l&rsquo;AWS Center for Quantum Computing du California Institute of Technology, <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ocelot est bas\u00e9 sur deux puces de silicium d&rsquo;une surface d&rsquo;environ 1 centim\u00e8tre carr\u00e9, connect\u00e9es face \u00e0 face et prenant en sandwich une couche de tantale supraconducteur pouvant constituer la base des oscillateurs.<\/p>\n<p>La puce de m\u00e9moire \u00e0 qubit logique Ocelot comprend cinq qubits de donn\u00e9es de chat ( cat-Qubit), chacun abritant un oscillateur utilis\u00e9 pour stocker les donn\u00e9es quantiques. L&rsquo;oscillateur de stockage de chaque Qubit de chat est connect\u00e9 \u00e0 deux Qubits de transmon auxiliaires pour la d\u00e9tection des erreurs d&rsquo;inversion de phase et \u00e0 un circuit tampon non lin\u00e9aire utilis\u00e9 pour supprimer les erreurs d&rsquo;inversion de bit.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les revendications de ce composant figure une architecture \u00e9volutive qui prend en charge la correction d&rsquo;erreurs bosoniques. Celle-ci serait sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres formes de correction d&rsquo;erreurs quantiques, qui peuvent utiliser quelque chose d&rsquo;aussi simple que la redondance multiple et le vote \u00e0 la majorit\u00e9. Contrairement aux syst\u00e8mes traditionnels bas\u00e9s sur les qubits, les codes bosoniques exploitent l&rsquo;espace infini de Hilbert d&rsquo;un seul mode bosonique pour fournir une protection intrins\u00e8que contre certains types d&rsquo;erreurs.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;Ocelot est \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme la premi\u00e8re mise en \u0153uvre d&rsquo;une porte \u00e0 bruit biais\u00e9 et comme un qubit supraconducteur \u00e0 la pointe de la technologie, avec des temps de basculement de bits d&rsquo;une seconde et des temps de basculement de phase de 20 microsecondes.<\/p>\n<p>Les auteurs d&rsquo;AWS ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l&rsquo;\u00e9volution d&rsquo;Ocelot vers un ordinateur quantique complet ne n\u00e9cessiterait qu&rsquo;un dixi\u00e8me des ressources des autres approches quantiques.<\/p>\n<p>Une partie de l&rsquo;approche d&rsquo;Ocelot consiste \u00e0 partager l&rsquo;information contenue dans chaque qubit logique entre plusieurs qubits physiques, prot\u00e9geant ainsi l&rsquo;information du bruit ext\u00e9rieur. Les erreurs peuvent alors \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9es et corrig\u00e9es d&rsquo;une mani\u00e8re analogue aux m\u00e9thodes classiques de correction d&rsquo;erreurs utilis\u00e9es dans le stockage et la communication num\u00e9riques.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;architecture cat-qubit d&rsquo;Ocelot est nomm\u00e9e d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s le chat mort\/vivant de Schroedinger et AWS travaille sur des versions de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;Ocelot afin de r\u00e9duire davantage les taux d&rsquo;erreurs logiques.<\/p>\n<p>AWS rejoint Microsoft et Google dans le lancement d&rsquo;importants composants d&rsquo;informatique quantique.
