Face \u00e0 l&rsquo;augmentation exponentielle des besoins en calcul de l&rsquo;IA, les d\u00e9fis en mati\u00e8re de performance et d&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique se posent, impliquant puissance de calcul, m\u00e9moire, alimentation \u00e9lectrique et interconnexions. ST aide les hyperscalers<sup>1<\/sup> et les principaux fournisseurs de modules optiques \u00e0 relever ces d\u00e9fis gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des technologies photoniques sur silicium et BiCMOS, avec une production pr\u00e9vue pour le second semestre 2025 pour des modules optiques de 800 Gbps et 1,6 Tbps.<\/h3>\n<p>Les interconnexions optiques des data centers comprennent des milliers, voire des centaines de milliers, d&rsquo;\u00e9metteurs-r\u00e9cepteurs optiques. Ces composants convertissent les signaux optiques en signaux \u00e9lectriques et vice versa, permettant aux donn\u00e9es de circuler entre les ressources de calcul, les unit\u00e9s de traitement graphiques (GPU), les commutateurs et les dispositifs de stockage. La technologie photonique sur silicium (SiPho) de ST permettra l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration de plusieurs composants complexes sur une seule puce, tandis que la technologie BiCMOS de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration offrira une connectivit\u00e9 optique ultra-rapide et \u00e9conome en \u00e9nergie, essentielle pour soutenir la croissance de l&rsquo;IA.<\/p>\n<p>Selon <strong>R\u00e9mi El-Ouazzane, Pr\u00e9sident du groupe Microcontr\u00f4leurs, Circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s num\u00e9riques et Produits RF (MDRF) de STMicroelectronics,<\/strong> \u00ab La demande en IA acc\u00e9l\u00e8re l&rsquo;adoption de technologies de communications \u00e0 haut d\u00e9bit au sein de l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me des data centers. Pour ST, c&rsquo;est le moment id\u00e9al pour introduire une technologie photonique sur silicium \u00e9conome en \u00e9nergie et la compl\u00e9ter par une technologie BiCMOS de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, permettant \u00e0 nos clients de concevoir la prochaine vague de produits d&rsquo;interconnexion optique \u00e0 800 Gbps &#8211; 1,6 Tbps pour hyperscalers.<\/p>\n<p>Les deux technologies seront fabriqu\u00e9es sur des process en 300 mm en Europe, offrant aux clients une source d&rsquo;approvisionnement ind\u00e9pendante et \u00e0 grands volumes pour deux composants cl\u00e9s de leurs modules optiques.<\/p>\n<p>AWS se r\u00e9jouit de collaborer avec STMicroelectronics pour d\u00e9velopper la technologie photonique sur silicium (SiPho), PIC100, qui permettra l&rsquo;interconnexion entre toutes les charges de travail, y compris l&rsquo;intelligence artificielle. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Selon <strong>Nafea Bshara, Vice-Pr\u00e9sident et Distinguished Engineer chez Amazon Web Services<\/strong>, \u00ab AWS travaille avec STMicroelectronics pour sa capacit\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9e \u00e0 faire de PIC100 une technologie SiPho de premier plan pour le march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;optique et de l&rsquo;IA. Nous sommes enthousiastes quant aux innovations potentielles que cela ouvrira pour la SiPho. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le march\u00e9 des optiques enfichables pour data centers conna\u00eet une croissance significative, estim\u00e9e \u00e0 7 milliards de dollars en 2024, avec une croissance annuelle de 23% entre 2025 et 2030, atteignant 24 milliards de dollars \u00e0 la fin de cette p\u00e9riode.
