{"id":463989,"date":"2024-10-28T18:37:43","date_gmt":"2024-10-28T17:37:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/?p=463989"},"modified":"2024-10-28T18:37:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-28T17:37:43","slug":"lesa-teste-lia-neuromorphique-pour-le-rover-martien","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/fr\/lesa-teste-lia-neuromorphique-pour-le-rover-martien\/","title":{"rendered":"L&rsquo;ESA teste l&rsquo;IA neuromorphique pour le rover martien"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">La startup britannique Opteran collabore avec Airbus Defence and Space pour utiliser l&rsquo;IA neuromorphique dans le cadre d&rsquo;un projet de rover martien de l&rsquo;Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne (ESA).<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Airbus teste le logiciel neuromorphique \u00e0 usage g\u00e9n\u00e9ral <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/opteran-raises-12m-for-neuromorphic-ai-decision-making\/\">Opteran Mind<\/a> afin d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer les syst\u00e8mes d&rsquo;imagerie d&rsquo;un rover martien. Le logiciel Opteran permet de stabiliser les images et d&rsquo;obtenir un champ de vision de 360 degr\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de seulement quatre cam\u00e9ras standard, ce qui r\u00e9duit le poids et la consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie du rover. Les images peuvent \u00e9galement fournir des donn\u00e9es de localisation.<\/p>\n<p>Opteran effectue des tests avec Airbus sur son site de Mars Yard \u00e0 Stevenage, au Royaume-Uni, pour permettre aux rovers de comprendre la perception de la profondeur dans les environnements les plus difficiles du monde ext\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n<p>Les syst\u00e8mes visuels et de perception neuromorphiques permettent \u00e0 un rover de comprendre son environnement en quelques millisecondes, dans des conditions difficiles, sans augmenter la consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie critique du robot. L&rsquo;algorithme permet aux machines autonomes de se d\u00e9placer efficacement dans les environnements les plus difficiles sans avoir besoin de donn\u00e9es ou d&rsquo;une formation approfondie.<\/p>\n<p>Si cette technologie est appliqu\u00e9e avec succ\u00e8s \u00e0 l&rsquo;exploration spatiale dans le l&rsquo;environnement r\u00e9el, elle permettra d&rsquo;\u00e9tendre consid\u00e9rablement les capacit\u00e9s de navigation sur des terrains extr\u00eames, en assurant une navigation continue tout en permettant de rouler plus loin et plus vite.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une collaboration entre Airbus et l&rsquo;ESA pour d\u00e9velopper un rover martien \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Charlie Rance, chef de produit chez Opteran. \u00ab Nous avons un programme de financement pour les aider \u00e0 appr\u00e9hender la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 qui les entoure \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous n&rsquo;utilisons pas une image haute d\u00e9finition, mais nous obtenons davantage d&rsquo;informations \u00e0 partir des algorithmes visuels afin de pouvoir fonctionner sur un petit ASIC int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 la cam\u00e9ra \u00bb. L&rsquo;algorithme de localisation et de perception occupe 1,4 c\u0153ur dans une puce quadric\u0153ur utilisant des c\u0153urs ARM Cortex A53, ou 0,9 c\u0153ur pour le Cortex A76.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous cr\u00e9ons une architecture flexible avec un traitement distribu\u00e9 ou une unit\u00e9 unique, mais nous n&rsquo;en sommes pas encore \u00e0 ce stade avec l&rsquo;ESA, l&rsquo;objectif est de valider les algorithmes \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Rance. \u00ab Nous avons obtenu les premiers r\u00e9sultats des tests, qui sont prometteurs, et nous analysons les donn\u00e9es jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la fin de 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Le projet est financ\u00e9 par le General Support Technology Programme (GSTP) de l&rsquo;ESA, par l&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire de l&rsquo;Agence spatiale britannique, afin de d\u00e9velopper des m\u00e9thodes d&rsquo;estimation de la profondeur pour la d\u00e9tection des obstacles, l&rsquo;objectif \u00e0 moyen terme \u00e9tant de fournir une navigation visuelle sans infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois que les r\u00e9sultats des essais pr\u00e9liminaires auront \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;ESA, l&rsquo;objectif serait de passer \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tape suivante du financement par des subventions au d\u00e9but de 2025, qui serait ax\u00e9e sur le d\u00e9ploiement et la commercialisation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.opteran.com\">www.opteran.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La startup britannique Opteran collabore avec Airbus Defence and Space pour utiliser l&rsquo;IA neuromorphique dans le cadre d&rsquo;un projet de rover martien de l&rsquo;Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne (ESA).
