Le contrat, d&rsquo;une valeur de plus de 280 millions d&rsquo;euros, couvre la gestion du consortium industriel ainsi que le d\u00e9veloppement et la construction de deux nouveaux satellites d&rsquo;observation de la Terre dans le cadre du programme FutureEO de l&rsquo;ESA.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Au sein de ce consortium, Thales Alenia Space, a sign\u00e9 un contrat avec OHB qui porte sur le d\u00e9veloppement des deux instruments radar \u00e0 synth\u00e8se d\u2019ouverture (SAR) qui \u00e9quiperont le tandem de satellites d\u2019observation de la Terre de la mission Harmony, dont le lancement \u00e0 bord de Vega est pr\u00e9vu d\u2019ici 2029. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dirigera un groupe europ\u00e9en pluridisciplinaire charg\u00e9 de concevoir, d\u00e9velopper et valider les instruments SAR en bande C, et sera \u00e9galement responsable de l\u2019\u00e9lectronique num\u00e9rique en bande C et des tuiles d\u2019antenne qui \u00e9quiperont les deux satellites Harmony.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00c0 propos d\u2019Harmony, 10<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> mission Earth Explorer<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Les missions Earth Explorer constituent l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment Science &amp; Recherche du programme d&rsquo;observation de la Terre, FutureEO, de l&rsquo;ESA. En fournissant des donn\u00e9es essentielles pour comprendre notre plan\u00e8te et pr\u00e9voir les \u00e9volutions futures, les missions Earth Explorer jouent un r\u00f4le fondamental pour faire progresser la science et, ult\u00e9rieurement, pour r\u00e9tablir l&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre environnemental en vue d&rsquo;un avenir durable. Chacune de ces missions met en \u0153uvre des technologies spatiales innovantes.<\/p>\n<p>De concert avec Sentinel-1, Harmony promet de livrer de pr\u00e9cieuses donn\u00e9es sur les interactions oc\u00e9an-glace-atmosph\u00e8re \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, afin de mieux comprendre les \u00e9changes thermiques dans les couches sup\u00e9rieures des oc\u00e9ans, les facteurs des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques extr\u00eames et les impacts du changement climatique \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n<p>Cette mission fera \u00e9galement la lumi\u00e8re sur la d\u00e9formation et la dynamique d\u2019\u00e9coulement aux bordures des calottes glaciaires, dont la transformation est rapide, afin de mieux expliquer le processus d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9vation du niveau de la mer. De plus, Harmony mesurera les plus infimes mouvements de terrain provoqu\u00e9s par l\u2019activit\u00e9 sismique et volcanique, de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 en g\u00e9rer les risques.<\/p>\n<p>La mission Harmony se compose de deux satellites \u00e9quip\u00e9s d\u2019un radar SAR passif bistatique pour la r\u00e9ception uniquement, et sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s d\u2019une charge utile optique fonctionnant dans l\u2019infrarouge thermique. Ces deux satellites voleront en formation serr\u00e9e avec Sentinel-1.
