Ailleurs, il faut se passer de communications ou recourir \u00e0 de co\u00fbteuses liaisons par satellites. C&rsquo;est ce qui a motiv\u00e9 l&rsquo;Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne (ESA) \u00e0 lancer en 2020 un ambitieux appel \u00e0 projets sur des antennes ultra-miniaturis\u00e9es haute performance. \u200b<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix\"><strong>400 MHz de fr\u00e9quence avec une antenne de 3 cm d\u2019\u00e9paisseur!\u200b<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"grid_6 alpha\">\n<div id=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_DisplayModePanel_top_ctl02__ControlWrapper_RichHtmlField\" class=\"ms-rtestate-field\" aria-labelledby=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_DisplayModePanel_top_ctl02_label\">Le CEA-Leti et Kineis, soutenus par le CNES, y ont r\u00e9pondu avec succ\u00e8s, et ont confirm\u00e9 lors d\u2019une d\u00e9monstration de plusieurs semaines les promesses de leur technologie.\u200b La demande principale du cahier des charges de l\u2019ESA portait sur la miniaturisation : comment transmettre efficacement un signal radio \u00e0 une fr\u00e9quence de 400 MHz avec une antenne de 3 cm d\u2019\u00e9paisseur, alors que les lois de la physique requi\u00e8rent classiquement 37 cm ?<\/div>\n<div class=\"ms-rtestate-field\" aria-labelledby=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_DisplayModePanel_top_ctl02_label\">\u200b<\/div>\n<div class=\"ms-rtestate-field\" aria-labelledby=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_DisplayModePanel_top_ctl02_label\">\n<div><strong>Polarisation circulaire<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>De plus, ces antennes devaient \u00eatre \u00e0 \u00ab polarisation circulaire \u00bb, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire avoir la m\u00eame efficacit\u00e9 de rayonnement, quelle que soit l\u2019orientation de l\u2019objet. Par exemple, un container maritime \u00e9quip\u00e9 d\u2019une antenne pour \u00eatre suivi lors de son transport est soumis au roulis et au tangage, inclin\u00e9 lors de son levage par une grue, etc.\u200b<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Pour Vincent Gamonal Ing\u00e9nieur test, validation, certification chez Kin\u00e9is:\u00a0 \u00ab Les applications avec un support m\u00e9tallique sont nombreuses, donc strat\u00e9giques pour Kin\u00e9is, mais nuisent \u00e0 l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 de la plupart des antennes. La proposition du CEA-Leti apporte une solution performante pour ces conditions exigeantes \u00bb.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Des micro-antennes pilot\u00e9es \u00e9lectroniquement\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Afin de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces exigences, les ing\u00e9nieurs du CEA Leti ont profit\u00e9 de\u200b leur expertise en miniaturisation d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments rayonnants. En effet, l&rsquo;antenne de 3 cm est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 un micro-r\u00e9seau d\u2019antennes encore plus petites, entre lesquelles la distribution des courants de radiofr\u00e9quences est pilot\u00e9e par couplage capacitif. L\u2019antenne permet aussi une \u00e9mission \u00e0 868 MHz sur des r\u00e9seaux IoT terrestres. La bascule sur cette fr\u00e9quence se fait, quand l\u2019objet \u00e9quip\u00e9 revient dans une zone couverte par le r\u00e9seau cellulaire terrestre afin de profiter d&rsquo;une communication moins co\u00fbteuse et moins \u00e9nergivore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u200b60% de messages suppl\u00e9mentaires transmis\u200b\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9monstration r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par Kineis a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des performances spectaculaires. Malgr\u00e9 la miniaturisation, l\u2019\u00e9nergie rayonn\u00e9e est multipli\u00e9e par 20 par rapport \u00e0 la meilleure antenne utilis\u00e9e par Kineis, \u00e0 consommation du transmetteur radio inchang\u00e9e avec cependant une am\u00e9lioration de\u00a0 60% du nombre de messages re\u00e7us par les satellites de Kin\u00e9is \u200b<\/p>\n<p><strong>CEA Leti, aller plus loin avec un partenaire industriel\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;une antenne \u00e0 polarisation circulaire aussi petite \u00e9tait un challenge \u00e9norme\u00a0; le prototype du CEA-Leti a atteint l&rsquo;objectif souhait\u00e9.
