{"id":458185,"date":"2024-08-13T11:48:37","date_gmt":"2024-08-13T09:48:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/?p=458185"},"modified":"2024-08-13T11:48:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-13T09:48:37","slug":"limec-developpe-des-systemes-cryogeniques-quantiques","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/fr\/limec-developpe-des-systemes-cryogeniques-quantiques\/","title":{"rendered":"L&rsquo;IMEC d\u00e9veloppe des syst\u00e8mes cryog\u00e9niques quantiques"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>L&rsquo;IMEC dirige le premier projet europ\u00e9en de l&rsquo;entreprise commune \u00ab\u00a0Chips\u00a0\u00bb, qui vise \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des composants et des syst\u00e8mes pour le contr\u00f4le et l&rsquo;interface d&rsquo;ordinateurs quantiques \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle et d&rsquo;autres microsyst\u00e8mes cryog\u00e9niques.<\/h2>\n<p>Le projet ARCTIC (\u00ab\u00a0Advanced Research on Cryogenic Technologies for Innovative Computing\u00a0\u00bb) vise \u00e0 \u00e9tablir une cha\u00eene d&rsquo;approvisionnement europ\u00e9enne compl\u00e8te et globale pour la photonique cryog\u00e9nique, la micro\u00e9lectronique et, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les cryo-microsyst\u00e8mes autour de l&rsquo;industrie \u00e9mergente de l&rsquo;informatique quantique et de diff\u00e9rentes applications TIC cryog\u00e9nis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Les exigences de performance impos\u00e9es aux dispositifs et circuits \u00e9lectroniques \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures cryog\u00e9niques sont tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes de celles \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante. En particulier lors de l&rsquo;interfa\u00e7age d&rsquo;applications tr\u00e8s sensibles telles que les processeurs quantiques, tous les aspects des technologies micro\u00e9lectroniques doivent \u00eatre optimis\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb, explique Alexander Grill, responsable scientifique d&rsquo;ARCTIC \u00e0 l&rsquo;IMEC.<\/p>\n<p>Pour \u00eatre utiles dans des applications r\u00e9elles, les ordinateurs quantiques n\u00e9cessitent des milliers ou des millions de qubits physiques, ce qui, en plus d&rsquo;\u00eatre un nombre \u00e9norme en soi, n\u00e9cessite \u00e9galement une quantit\u00e9 \u00e9norme de machines de contr\u00f4le et d&rsquo;interfa\u00e7age pour faire fonctionner et contr\u00f4ler efficacement l&rsquo;ordinateur quantique. Habituellement, ces machines fonctionnent \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante. Cependant, les ordinateurs quantiques bas\u00e9s sur des qubits fonctionnent \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures proches du z\u00e9ro Kelvin absolu \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur d&rsquo;un cryostat. Lorsque l&rsquo;on augmente le nombre de qubits, le nombre de lignes de signaux possibles alimentant le cryostat est limit\u00e9. Cela est d\u00fb \u00e0 l&rsquo;espace restreint, \u00e0 la chaleur transport\u00e9e par les fils et aux probl\u00e8mes d&rsquo;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du signal (dus \u00e0 la longueur des fils).<\/p>\n<p>Pour surmonter ces contraintes, ARCTIC rassemble 36 partenaires de 11 pays, issus de l&rsquo;industrie, du monde universitaire et des principaux RTO, afin d&rsquo;\u00e9tablir une cha\u00eene d&rsquo;approvisionnement europ\u00e9enne compl\u00e8te pour la photonique cryog\u00e9nique, la micro\u00e9lectronique et, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les cryo-microsyst\u00e8mes autour de l&rsquo;industrie \u00e9mergente de l&rsquo;informatique quantique et de diff\u00e9rentes applications TIC cryog\u00e9nis\u00e9es. Cela comprend le d\u00e9veloppement de mat\u00e9riaux et de processus de fabrication, de nouvelles approches de simulation, d&#8217;emballages h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8nes et l&rsquo;optimisation de dispositifs et de circuits sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7us pour le fonctionnement cryog\u00e9nique.<\/p>\n<p>ARCTIC r\u00e9unit des d\u00e9veloppeurs et des int\u00e9grateurs de technologies, des mod\u00e9lisateurs, des concepteurs, des acteurs des syst\u00e8mes\/applications et des utilisateurs finaux afin d&rsquo;assurer une interface harmonieuse entre les diff\u00e9rentes couches. Dans le m\u00eame temps, nous concentrons une grande partie de nos efforts sur les liens manquants, notamment dans le domaine de la cryomod\u00e9lisation et de la normalisation. En outre, nous tirons fortement parti de l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me unique de R&amp;D en Europe, avec des RTO qui collaborent et forment le pont entre les mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;innovation universitaires et la valorisation industrielle &#8211; cette derni\u00e8re concernant \u00e0 la fois les (nombreuses) PME et les grandes entreprises industrielles.<\/p>\n<p>Entre autres \u00e9tapes, le projet ARCTIC testera de nouveaux mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;amplificateurs param\u00e9triques \u00e0 ondes progressives (TWPA), un composant essentiel des ordinateurs quantiques supraconducteurs utilis\u00e9 pour les mesures de lecture. Pour rendre les ordinateurs quantiques plus compacts et plus rentables, Alice et Bob testeront les performances des nouveaux amplificateurs param\u00e9triques \u00e0 ondes progressives sp\u00e9cifiques au domaine quantique dans leurs cryostats par rapport aux amplificateurs param\u00e9triques \u00e0 ondes progressives disponibles dans le commerce.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Les nouvelles conceptions sp\u00e9cifiques au domaine quantique r\u00e9duiront les pertes internes dans le TWPA afin d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 des mesures\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Jean-Loup Ville, physicien quantique principal chez Alice &amp; Bob. \u00ab\u00a0Cela peut r\u00e9duire de mani\u00e8re significative la charge mat\u00e9rielle pour fabriquer des dispositifs compacts et \u00e9conomiques et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;un ordinateur quantique \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle de plusieurs ann\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats attendus du projet sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme des catalyseurs importants pour des technologies tr\u00e8s demand\u00e9es qui peuvent r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes existants dans des domaines tels que la chimie informatique, les sciences biologiques et de la vie, la cryptographie n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la protection des donn\u00e9es et \u00e0 la cybers\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><a
