Cette discipline, \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re entre magn\u00e9tisme et micro\u00e9lectronique arrive en effet \u00e0 maturit\u00e9, offrant de larges perspectives en mati\u00e8re d\u2019innovations.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019industrie micro\u00e9lectronique lui fait aujourd\u2019hui une place de choix, avec le lancement en production industrielle chez les acteurs majeurs du domaine (Samsung, TSMC, INTEL, Global Foundries) d\u2019un nouveau type de m\u00e9moires magn\u00e9tiques \u2013 les MRAM (Magnetic Random Access Memory) \u2013 offrant aux circuits \u00e9lectroniques de nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s et des performances am\u00e9lior\u00e9es, en particulier en termes de consommation \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n<p>Le consortium europ\u00e9en SpintronicFactory*, cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 2016, vise \u00e0 promouvoir en Europe la recherche d\u2019excellence en spintronique et tout le potentiel d\u2019innovations qu\u2019elle porte. Il a publi\u00e9, le 19 ao\u00fbt 2020, sa vision de la feuille de route de la spintronique applicative dans<em>&nbsp;Nature Electronics<\/em>&nbsp;qui identifie les prochains d\u00e9fis \u00e0 relever :&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dans le domaine des m\u00e9moires<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>r\u00e9alisation de puces de tr\u00e8s hautes densit\u00e9s par le d\u00e9veloppement de solutions disruptives d\u2019inspiration 3D ;<\/li>\n<li>r\u00e9duction de la consommation \u00e9lectrique par la mise en \u0153uvre d\u2019effets fondamentaux d\u2019interface, moins \u00e9nergivores, utilisant le couplage quantique spin-orbite ou le contr\u00f4le par tension \u00e9lectrique des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s magn\u00e9tiques sans passage de courant \u00e9lectrique.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dans le domaine des capteurs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>am\u00e9lioration de la sensibilit\u00e9 ;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e9largissement de la gamme de mesure du champ magn\u00e9tique ;<\/li>\n<li>innovation sur les architectures de capteurs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ces d\u00e9fis refl\u00e8tent les besoins tr\u00e8s diversifi\u00e9s de ce march\u00e9, qui concernent les t\u00e9l\u00e9phones intelligents (magn\u00e9tom\u00e8tres 3D \/ boussoles num\u00e9riques), le secteur automobile (capteurs de position lin\u00e9aire ou angulaire, de vitesse), les capteurs de courant et de puissance, les scanners. De nouvelles applications font leur apparition dans l&rsquo;Internet des objets (IoT) et les domaines du biom\u00e9dical avec le d\u00e9veloppement de dispositifs fiables \u00e0 faible consommation sur silicium ou substrats souples.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dans les technologies radiofr\u00e9quence et t\u00e9rahertz (THz)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>transfert applicatif de l\u2019utilisation d\u2019un courant \u00e9lectrique continu pour g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des oscillations radiofr\u00e9quences d\u2019aimantation et r\u00e9ciproquement.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les preuves de concept ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9es, pour des fonctions d\u2019oscillateur et de diode qui sont int\u00e9ressantes pour les composants t\u00e9l\u00e9coms. Il faut maintenant permettre leur int\u00e9gration concr\u00e8te dans diff\u00e9rents domaines applicatifs, en particulier les t\u00e9l\u00e9communications compactes et basse consommation, les applications THz (imagerie, s\u00e9curit\u00e9), les micro-r\u00e9cup\u00e9rateurs d\u2019\u00e9nergie et l\u2019intelligence artificielle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, de mani\u00e8re plus prospective, des jalons sont propos\u00e9s pour d\u00e9montrer le potentiel applicatif de la spintronique, r\u00e9aliser directement le traitement de l\u2019information en utilisant le spin de l\u2019\u00e9lectron et non seulement sa charge \u00e9lectrique, permettant de r\u00e9duire encore la consommation des circuits \u00e9lectroniques ou d\u2019introduire de nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s. Les d\u00e9fis identifi\u00e9s rel\u00e8vent en particulier de l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des conversions entre courant de spin et courant de charge dans les nouveaux concepts.<\/p>\n<p>*consortium
