Le r\u00e9acteur est de nouveau op\u00e9rationnel et la lumi\u00e8re bleue brille \u00e0 nouveau. Cette performance comprenait l&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;un \u00ab\u00a0refroidisseur de neutrons\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du c\u0153ur du r\u00e9acteur, la construction de toutes les installations associ\u00e9es et la mise \u00e0 niveau des instruments de mesure. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces ajustements, le TU Delft Reactor Institute est l&rsquo;un des six r\u00e9acteurs de recherche en Europe o\u00f9 la recherche peut \u00eatre effectu\u00e9e avec une source de neutrons froids.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recherche sur les mat\u00e9riaux<\/strong><br \/>\nLe TU Delft Reactor Institute investit constamment dans l&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration des m\u00e9thodes de mesure et des techniques de recherche afin de permettre aux scientifiques d&rsquo;effectuer des recherches non destructives totalement innovantes sur les mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide du r\u00e9acteur. Ces efforts sont maintenant entr\u00e9s dans une nouvelle phase gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la finalisation du programme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/en\/faculty-of-applied-sciences\/business\/facilities\/tu-delft-reactor-institute\/upgrade-research-reactor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OYSTER<\/a>: Optimized Yield &#8211; for Science, Technology and Education &#8211; of Radiation.<\/p>\n<p>La source de neutrons froids joue un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans Oyster. Les neutrons refroidis interagissent davantage avec un \u00e9chantillon que les neutrons non refroidis. La qualit\u00e9 et la rapidit\u00e9 des mesures avec des neutrons froids peuvent donc \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9es d&rsquo;un facteur cent.
