Et, plus important encore, comment pouvons-nous l&rsquo;\u00e9tendre ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Une \u00e9quipe de recherche internationale dirig\u00e9e par la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/en\/2024\/tnw\/disorder-improves-battery-life\">TU Delft<\/a> a d\u00e9couvert que le d\u00e9sordre local dans le mat\u00e9riau d&rsquo;oxyde de la cathode augmente le nombre de fois que les batteries Li-ion peuvent \u00eatre charg\u00e9es et d\u00e9charg\u00e9es. Leurs r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans la revue <em>Nature<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"c1347421\" class=\"t3ce frame-type-text \">\n<h3><strong>\u00c9lectrode instable<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Les batteries rechargeables sont un ingr\u00e9dient cl\u00e9 de la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, en particulier maintenant que de plus en plus d&rsquo;\u00e9nergies renouvelables sont disponibles. Parmi les nombreux types de piles rechargeables, les piles Li-ion sont parmi les plus puissantes et les plus utilis\u00e9es. Pour les relier \u00e9lectriquement, des oxydes en couches sont souvent utilis\u00e9s comme \u00e9lectrodes. Cependant, leur structure atomique devient instable lorsque la batterie est en cours de chargement. Cela affecte en fin de compte la dur\u00e9e du cycle de vie de la batterie.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>D\u00e9sordre local<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pour r\u00e9soudre ce probl\u00e8me, le groupe \u00ab\u00a0Stockage de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrochimique\u00a0\u00bb de la TU Delft s&rsquo;est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 des chercheurs internationaux. L&rsquo;auteur principal de l&rsquo;article, Qidi Wang : \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;oxyde stratifi\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 comme mat\u00e9riau de cathode pour les batteries Li-ion est parfaitement ordonn\u00e9. Nous avons men\u00e9 une \u00e9tude de conception de la structure pour introduire un d\u00e9sordre chimique de courte port\u00e9e dans ce mat\u00e9riau gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une m\u00e9thode de synth\u00e8se am\u00e9lior\u00e9e. En cons\u00e9quence, il est devenu plus stable pendant l&rsquo;utilisation de la batterie\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Dur\u00e9e de vie plus longue, temps de charge plus court<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>L&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration de la stabilit\u00e9 structurelle a presque doubl\u00e9 la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention de la batterie apr\u00e8s 200 cycles de charge\/d\u00e9charge. En outre, ce d\u00e9sordre chimique de courte port\u00e9e augmente le transfert de charge dans l&rsquo;\u00e9lectrode, ce qui se traduit par des temps de charge plus courts. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 ces avantages pour des cathodes commerciales bien \u00e9tablies telles que l&rsquo;oxyde de lithium et de cobalt (<sub>LiCoO2<\/sub>) et l&rsquo;oxyde de lithium, nickel, mangan\u00e8se et cobalt (NMC811).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mat\u00e9riaux critiques<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats pourraient d\u00e9boucher sur une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de batteries Li-ion, dont le co\u00fbt de fabrication et l&#8217;empreinte<sub>CO2<\/sub> par unit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie stock\u00e9e au cours de leur dur\u00e9e de vie seraient moindres. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe cherchera ensuite \u00e0 savoir si les m\u00eames principes de conception des mat\u00e9riaux peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour fabriquer des cathodes \u00e0 partir de mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res moins rares. \u00ab\u00a0Le cobalt et le nickel sont des mat\u00e9riaux essentiels pour les technologies \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et il serait bon de r\u00e9duire l&rsquo;utilisation de ces mat\u00e9riaux dans les batteries\u00a0\u00bb, explique Marnix Wagemaker, auteur principal de l&rsquo;article.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qu&rsquo;est-ce qui d\u00e9termine la dur\u00e9e de vie des piles ?
