En tant que source lumineuse alternative aux lampes \u00e0 mercure utilis\u00e9es pour la d\u00e9sinfection, les LED UV-C s devaient am\u00e9liorer leurs performances.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Par rapport aux lampes \u00e0 mercure, les LED UV-C sont respectueuses de l&rsquo;environnement du fait m\u00eame qu&rsquo;elles ne contiennent pas de mercure, elle sont aussi plus compactes, avec une longue dur\u00e9e de vie. Ces avantages ont favoris\u00e9 leur utilisation dans les dispositifs de d\u00e9sinfection de l&rsquo;air et des surfaces pendant la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19. Cependant, comme leur composition diff\u00e8re de celle des LED d&rsquo;\u00e9clairage, la puissance lumineuse reste limit\u00e9e. Les lampes \u00e0 mercure sont encore utilis\u00e9es dans les stations d&rsquo;\u00e9puration des eaux et dans d&rsquo;autres situations o\u00f9 une d\u00e9sinfection sp\u00e9cifique est n\u00e9cessaire.<\/p>\n<p>Toyoda Gosei a mis \u00e0 profit son expertise en mati\u00e8re de cristallisation et de conception de DEL bleues pour l&rsquo;\u00e9clairage, et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s des DEL UV-C qui atteignent un rendement lumineux de 200 milliwatts avec une seule puce lorsqu&rsquo;elles sont aliment\u00e9es par un courant de 350 milliamp\u00e8res. L&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration de la structure et de la composition des LED a permis de quadrupler la quantit\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re pouvant \u00eatre extraite. Les performances accrues des LED, notamment leur capacit\u00e9 de d\u00e9sinfection environ trois fois sup\u00e9rieure, \u00e9largiront leurs domaines d&rsquo;application et constitueront rapidement une alternative aux lampes \u00e0 mercure, contribuant ainsi \u00e0 un mode de fonctionnement plus hygi\u00e9nique et plus s\u00fbr.<\/p>\n<p><a
