{"id":447174,"date":"2024-03-27T09:49:08","date_gmt":"2024-03-27T08:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/?p=447174"},"modified":"2024-03-27T09:50:45","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T08:50:45","slug":"une-feuille-de-route-spectaculaire-pour-la-photonique-integree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/fr\/une-feuille-de-route-spectaculaire-pour-la-photonique-integree\/","title":{"rendered":"Une feuille de route spectaculaire pour la photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>PhotonDelta, aux Pays-Bas, et le centre de microphotonique du MIT ont \u00e9labor\u00e9 une feuille de route internationale pour la photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e.<\/h3>\n<p>L&rsquo;initiative implique des contributions de plus de 400 organisations, dont Airbus, Meta, la NASA, Dupont Electronics, General Motors, l&rsquo;Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne et VodafoneZiggo, et l&rsquo;impact potentiel a \u00e9t\u00e9 qualifi\u00e9 de \u00ab\u00a0spectaculaire\u00a0\u00bb par Peter van Arkel, directeur technique de PhotonDelta.<\/p>\n<p>La feuille de route internationale pour les syst\u00e8mes photoniques int\u00e9gr\u00e9s (IPSR-I) a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9e au cours des trois derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es et identifie les principales lacunes technologiques dans lesquelles la photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e pourrait r\u00e9volutionner les industries, notamment la photonique RF (communication sans fil), l&rsquo;imagerie 3D, l&rsquo;informatique et la d\u00e9tection. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une avanc\u00e9e majeure pour les entreprises europ\u00e9ennes de semi-conducteurs.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;int\u00e9gration de la photonique \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique est la cl\u00e9 de la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;appareils plus petits, plus rapides et plus \u00e9conomes en \u00e9nergie. L&rsquo;int\u00e9gration a le potentiel d&rsquo;\u00e9tendre les fonctionnalit\u00e9s et de cr\u00e9er un grand nombre de nouvelles applications, et contribue \u00e0 d\u00e9bloquer des avanc\u00e9es majeures dans de nombreux domaines, notamment les v\u00e9hicules autonomes, les t\u00e9l\u00e9communications de donn\u00e9es et les soins de sant\u00e9. La photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e est \u00e9galement la technologie qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re, traite et d\u00e9tecte la lumi\u00e8re pour les applications de d\u00e9tection et de communication.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/e1-1bn-for-a-european-photonics-supply-chain\/\">1,1 milliard d&rsquo;euros pour une cha\u00eene d&rsquo;approvisionnement europ\u00e9enne en photonique<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/strain-engineering-boost-for-scalable-on-chip-photonic-lasers\/\">L&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie de la d\u00e9formation au service de la photonique \u00e9volutive sur puce<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L&rsquo;IPSR-I d\u00e9crit le consensus de plus de 400 experts issus de plus de 100 ateliers et 13 conf\u00e9rences. Il comprend une vue d&rsquo;ensemble des principales lacunes technologiques pour la fabrication en volume des PIC et une analyse d\u00e9taill\u00e9e des d\u00e9fis que l&rsquo;industrie de la photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e doit relever pour r\u00e9aliser son potentiel.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le fait de rassembler toutes les ressources de recherche et de d\u00e9veloppement de l&rsquo;industrie photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e et des universit\u00e9s pour combler les lacunes technologiques identifi\u00e9es par l&rsquo;IPSR-I contribuera \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre les grands d\u00e9fis soci\u00e9taux de mani\u00e8re spectaculaire\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Peter van Arkel, directeur technique de PhotonDelta. \u00ab\u00a0Au c\u0153ur de la feuille de route se trouve une approche globale \u00e0 laquelle l&rsquo;industrie de la photonique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e doit se rallier pour relever les principaux d\u00e9fis. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s difficile de parvenir \u00e0 un consensus sur ces lacunes technologiques avec un groupe de contributeurs aussi divers. Au vu des r\u00e9sultats, le jeu en valait vraiment la chandelle.<\/p>\n<p>Lionel Kimerling, professeur Thomas Lord de science et d&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie des mat\u00e9riaux au MIT, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;int\u00e9gration \u00e9lectronique-photonique a la capacit\u00e9 de transformer radicalement toute une s\u00e9rie d&rsquo;industries et de d\u00e9bloquer une s\u00e9rie de nouvelles technologies qui changeront nos vies. Le passage de cette vision \u00e0 une fabrication en grande s\u00e9rie n\u00e9cessite un plan bien pens\u00e9, fond\u00e9 sur les connaissances d&rsquo;un large \u00e9ventail d&rsquo;experts dans diff\u00e9rents domaines, organisations et nations. C&rsquo;est ce que l&rsquo;IPSR-I a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire : il trace une voie claire pour l&rsquo;avenir et sp\u00e9cifie une courbe d&rsquo;apprentissage innovante pour l&rsquo;augmentation des performances et des applications au cours des 15 prochaines ann\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Les circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s photoniques (PIC) peuvent traiter et transmettre des donn\u00e9es beaucoup plus efficacement que leurs homologues \u00e9lectroniques. Comme pour les puces traditionnelles, le processus de production est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une technologie automatique \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle du wafer.
