Chaque puce gFET contient plusieurs gFET, dont chacun est un transistor qui agit comme un capteur. Archer a miniaturis\u00e9 la taille totale de la puce en repensant la disposition des circuits cr\u00e9ant ces transistors gFET. La nouvelle conception miniaturis\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9e \u00e0 un partenaire fondeur pour la fabrication de puces gFET de taille r\u00e9duite, qu&rsquo;Archer a l&rsquo;intention d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la technologie Biochip.<\/p>\n<p>La nouvelle conception de la puce gFET a \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9rablement r\u00e9duite en taille par rapport aux conceptions pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes de 10 x 10 mm \u00e0 1,5 x 1,5 mm. Il sera test\u00e9 sur un wafer de quatre pouces qui devrait produire 1 375 puces, contre 45 puces produites \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de conceptions ant\u00e9rieures lors des pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents cycles de fabrication sur wafer de quatre pouces.<\/p>\n<p>La puce sera fabriqu\u00e9e par Applied Nanolayers (\u00ab\u00a0ANL\u00a0\u00bb), bas\u00e9e aux Pays-Bas, qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 fabriqu\u00e9 des mod\u00e8les ant\u00e9rieurs de gFET d&rsquo;Archer. Ind\u00e9pendamment des s\u00e9ries de wafer envoy\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;ANL, Archer a \u00e9galement envoy\u00e9 des conceptions de gFET \u00e0 une fonderie en Espagne pour la fabrication, avec une livraison pr\u00e9vue au cours de la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 de 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Archer applique le mod\u00e8le fabless en concevant, recherchant et d\u00e9veloppant ses puces, tout en externalisant la fabrication \u00e0 des entreprises sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es dans la cha\u00eene d&rsquo;approvisionnement des semi-conducteurs. Il s&rsquo;agit notamment de cr\u00e9er un nouveau mod\u00e8le de puce Biochip gFET miniaturis\u00e9e, d&rsquo;envoyer le mod\u00e8le pour une production de plaquettes enti\u00e8res dans une fonderie commerciale, et de d\u00e9cider de l&rsquo;assemblage de la puce et de l&#8217;emballage \u00e9lectronique du dispositif semiconducteur, ainsi que des essais \u00e9lectriques connexes.<\/p>\n<p>Le wafer sera d\u00e9coup\u00e9 et assembl\u00e9 par le nouveau partenaire d&rsquo;Archer pour l&rsquo;assemblage et le test de semiconducteurs externalis\u00e9s (\u00ab\u00a0OSAT\u00a0\u00bb), AOI Electronics, au Japon. L&rsquo;OSAT comprend le moulage, le d\u00e9coupage et la conception de la grille de connexion pour cet assemblage d\u00e9di\u00e9, ainsi que les tests et le packaging. Ces nouvelles capacit\u00e9s sont essentielles pour faire progresser le d\u00e9veloppement de la biopuce jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;interfa\u00e7age et l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration avec des capteurs miniaturis\u00e9s \u00e0 puce gFET. La livraison des puces emball\u00e9es est pr\u00e9vue pour la mi-2024.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;innovation Biochip d&rsquo;Archer est ax\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration des gFET dans des syst\u00e8mes fluidiques avanc\u00e9s afin de cr\u00e9er des plates-formes miniaturis\u00e9es de laboratoire sur puce pour le diagnostic m\u00e9dical. En cas de succ\u00e8s, cela pourrait permettre de parall\u00e9liser la d\u00e9tection de cibles biologiques pertinentes sur une puce.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Choucair, PDG d&rsquo;Archer, a comment\u00e9 la miniaturisation de la conception de la puce Biochip gFET en ces termes : \u00ab\u00a0La r\u00e9duction significative de la taille de la puce Biochip est une grande r\u00e9ussite de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe Archer.
