Sa conception int\u00e8gre des transistors \u00e0 effet de champ FET et des couches de disulfure de molybd\u00e8ne et de graph\u00e8ne.<\/h2>\n<p>Des chercheurs du d\u00e9partement d&rsquo;instrumentation et de physique appliqu\u00e9e (IAP) de l&rsquo;Institut indien des sciences (IISc) ont con\u00e7u un nouveau supercondensateur ultramicro, un dispositif minuscule capable de stocker une \u00e9norme quantit\u00e9 de charge \u00e9lectrique. Il est \u00e9galement beaucoup plus petit et plus compact que les supercondensateurs existants et peut potentiellement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 dans de nombreux appareils allant des lampadaires \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique grand public, en passant par les voitures \u00e9lectriques et les appareils m\u00e9dicaux.<\/p>\n<p>Dans l&rsquo;\u00e9tude r\u00e9cente, publi\u00e9e dans <em>ACS Energy Letters<\/em>, les chercheurs ont fabriqu\u00e9 leur supercondensateur en utilisant des transistors \u00e0 effet de champ (FET) comme collecteurs de charge, au lieu des \u00e9lectrodes m\u00e9talliques utilis\u00e9es dans les condensateurs existants. \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;un FET comme \u00e9lectrode pour les supercondensateurs est une nouveaut\u00e9 pour r\u00e9gler la charge dans un condensateur\u00a0\u00bb, explique Abha Misra, professeur \u00e0 l&rsquo;IAP et auteur correspondant de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n<p>Les condensateurs actuels utilisent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des \u00e9lectrodes \u00e0 base d&rsquo;oxyde m\u00e9tallique, mais ils sont limit\u00e9s par la faible mobilit\u00e9 des \u00e9lectrons. C&rsquo;est pourquoi Misra et son \u00e9quipe ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de construire des FET hybrides constitu\u00e9s d&rsquo;une alternance de couches de disulfure de molybd\u00e8ne (<sub>MoS2<\/sub>) et de <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;encoded_tag_open \/&gt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&lt;encoded_tag_closed \/&gt;graphene&lt;encoded_tag_open \/&gt;\/div&lt;encoded_tag_closed \/&gt;&lt;encoded_tag_open \/&gt;div class=glossaryItemBody&lt;encoded_tag_closed \/&gt;Graphene is an allotrope of carbon in the form of a single layer of atoms in a two-dimensional hexagonal lattice in which one atom forms each vertex. It is the basic structural element of other allotropes of carbon, including graphite, charcoal, carbon nanotubes, and fullerenes. In proportion to its thickness, it is about 100 times stronger than the strongest steel.&lt;encoded_tag_open \/&gt;\/div&lt;encoded_tag_closed \/&gt;\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{\">graph\u00e8ne de<\/span> quelques atomes d&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur &#8211; afin d&rsquo;accro\u00eetre la mobilit\u00e9 des \u00e9lectrons &#8211; qui sont ensuite connect\u00e9es \u00e0 des contacts en or. Un gel \u00e9lectrolytique solide est utilis\u00e9 entre les deux \u00e9lectrodes du FET pour construire un supercondensateur \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat solide. L&rsquo;ensemble de la structure repose sur une base de dioxyde de silicium\/silicium.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-607\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0La conception est la partie critique, car vous int\u00e9grez deux syst\u00e8mes\u00a0\u00bb, explique M. Misra. Les deux syst\u00e8mes sont les deux \u00e9lectrodes FET et le gel \u00e9lectrolytique, un milieu ionique, qui ont des capacit\u00e9s de charge diff\u00e9rentes. Vinod Panwar, doctorant \u00e0 l&rsquo;IAP et l&rsquo;un des auteurs principaux, ajoute qu&rsquo;il a \u00e9t\u00e9 difficile de fabriquer le dispositif pour obtenir toutes les caract\u00e9ristiques id\u00e9ales du transistor.
