Or, ils n\u00e9cessitent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des efforts de conception consid\u00e9rables en amont afin de compenser l\u2019in\u00e9vitable vieillissement des LED. Les opto\u00e9mulateurs de TI r\u00e9solvent le probl\u00e8me gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une barri\u00e8re d\u2019isolement en SiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0qui annule enti\u00e8rement les effets de ce vieillissement. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur forte rigidit\u00e9 di\u00e9lectrique (500\u00a0V<sub>eff<\/sub>\/\u00b5m), les barri\u00e8res d&rsquo;isolement au SiO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0de TI permettent de prot\u00e9ger les produits finals pendant plus de 40\u00a0ans. Les opto\u00e9mulateurs assurent \u00e9galement une protection d&rsquo;isolement \u00e9lev\u00e9e (jusqu\u2019\u00e0 3\u00a0750\u00a0V<sub>eff<\/sub>) et peuvent r\u00e9duire de 80\u00a0% la consommation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique.
