En cons\u00e9quence, le laser \u00e9met sur un mode spectral unique qui peut \u00eatre l\u00e9g\u00e8rement ajust\u00e9 en modifiant la temp\u00e9rature de la r\u00e9gion active.<\/p>\n<p>Les lasers monomodes continus ont une largeur de raie \u00e9troite, ce qui en fait la solution id\u00e9ale pour la d\u00e9tection des gaz. Ils peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9gl\u00e9s dans une plage allant jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 10 cm-1 ; il existe une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de sch\u00e9mas de modulation qui peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 des fins diff\u00e9rentes. Les lasers CW-DFB sont principalement utilis\u00e9s pour la spectroscopie.<\/p>\n<p>Les longueurs d\u2019onde disponibles sont comprises entre ~625cm-1 et 2500cm-1 (4-16\u00b5m) pour une puissance de 5-100mW. Ces lasers fonctionnent \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante. Ils sont propos\u00e9s en chip, chip sur submount ou bo\u00eetier avec contr\u00f4le de la temp\u00e9rature, collimation, couplage fibre\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Autre application : spectroscopie haute r\u00e9solution par double peigne de fr\u00e9quences<\/h3>\n<p>Les peignes de fr\u00e9quences \u00e0 lasers \u00e0 cascade quantique sont des dispositifs \u00e9mettant de la lumi\u00e8re sur un large spectre constitu\u00e9 de pics \u00e9quidistants dans l&rsquo;espace des fr\u00e9quences. La distance entre ces pics \u00e9tant fixe, typiquement donn\u00e9e par le taux de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition d&rsquo;un train d&rsquo;impulsions ultra-courtes, ils peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s comme des rep\u00e8res dans le domaine des fr\u00e9quences pour la spectroscopie \u00e0 peigne de fr\u00e9quences.<\/p>\n<p>Dans l&rsquo;infrarouge moyen, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les lasers \u00e0 cascade quantique dont la dispersion optique a \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifiquement \u00e9tudi\u00e9e \u00e9mettent des peignes de fr\u00e9quences optiques larges et puissants. Comme pour les lasers \u00e0 impulsions ultracourtes, l&rsquo;espacement des modes des peignes QCL est donn\u00e9 par la longueur de la cavit\u00e9. Cependant, dans le cas des QCL, la modulation p\u00e9riodique dans le domaine temporel est de type FM, et non AM, et la puissance de sortie est donc constante.<\/p>\n<p>Le peigne \u00e0 base de QCL int\u00e8gre le laser de pompe et la microcavit\u00e9 dans son guide d&rsquo;onde, contrairement aux autres technologies de peigne. Cela en fait une source tr\u00e8s compacte. Bas\u00e9s sur la technologie QCL, ces dispositifs de peigne peuvent \u00eatre fabriqu\u00e9s sur l&rsquo;ensemble du MWIR et du LWIR.<\/p>\n<p>La spectroscopie \u00e0 double peigne repose sur deux oscillateurs locaux (OFC), dont l&rsquo;espacement des pics est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diff\u00e9rent. Le spectre de battement h\u00e9t\u00e9rodyne de deux peignes de ce type consiste en des pics \u00e9galement espac\u00e9s qui repr\u00e9sentent les spectres optiques des lasers dans le domaine RF.<\/p>\n<p>La spectroscopie \u00e0 double peigne bas\u00e9e sur des QCL offre la possibilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;acqu\u00e9rir des spectres \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution sur une large gamme spectrale de plusieurs dizaines de cm-1 en un temps d&rsquo;acquisition tr\u00e8s court de l&rsquo;ordre de la \u00b5s, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire en temps quasi r\u00e9el.
