L&rsquo;objectif est de permettre aux laboratoires de recherche d&rsquo;utiliser la puce avec diff\u00e9rentes topologies pour construire des syst\u00e8mes plus importants, notamment pour tester les syst\u00e8mes de correction d&rsquo;erreur des qubits.<\/p>\n<p>Intel travaille \u00e9galement sur sa prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de puce quantique bas\u00e9e sur Tunnel Falls, vraisemblablement avec plus de qubits, dont la sortie est pr\u00e9vue pour 2024.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/intel-boosts-euv-quantum-dot-yields\/\">Intel augmente les rendements des points quantiques EUV<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/ibm-sees-2023-as-quantum-inflexion-point\/\">IBM voit en 2023 un point d&rsquo;inflexion quantique<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Intel travaille avec le Laboratoire des sciences physiques (LPS) de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 du Maryland, College Park, le Qubit Collaboratory (LQC), un centre de recherche en sciences de l&rsquo;information quantique (QIS) au niveau national, dans le cadre du programme Qubits for Computing Foundry (QCF) du Bureau de recherche de l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e am\u00e9ricaine.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;avanc\u00e9e cl\u00e9 est que la puce est fabriqu\u00e9e sur un wafer CMOS de 300 mm \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une lithographie par UV extr\u00eame (EUV), avec un rendement de 95 %. Un seul wafer de 300 mm peut produire 24 000 puces Tunnel Falls, qui mesurent 50 x 50 nm.<\/p>\n<p>Intel a d\u00fb d\u00e9velopper un outil de test cryog\u00e9nique pour tester les puces \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures proches de 0\u00b0K. Il en r\u00e9sulte une uniformit\u00e9 de tension similaire \u00e0 celle d&rsquo;un process logique CMOS.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eenewseurope.com\/en\/single-atom-transistor-recipe-simplifies-atomic-scale-fabrication\/\">La \u00ab\u00a0recette\u00a0\u00bb du transistor \u00e0 un seul atome simplifie l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle atomique<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Tunnel Falls est la puce qubit de spin en silicium la plus avanc\u00e9e d&rsquo;Intel \u00e0 ce jour et s&rsquo;appuie sur des d\u00e9cennies d&rsquo;expertise en mati\u00e8re de conception et de fabrication de transistors. La sortie de cette nouvelle puce est la prochaine \u00e9tape de la strat\u00e9gie \u00e0 long terme d&rsquo;Intel visant \u00e0 construire un syst\u00e8me informatique quantique commercial complet. Bien qu&rsquo;il reste des questions et des d\u00e9fis fondamentaux \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre sur la voie d&rsquo;un ordinateur quantique tol\u00e9rant aux pannes, la communaut\u00e9 universitaire peut d\u00e9sormais explorer cette technologie et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9veloppement de la recherche\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Jim Clarke, directeur du mat\u00e9riel quantique chez Intel.<\/p>\n<p>Les premiers laboratoires quantiques \u00e0 participer au programme sont le LPS, les Sandia National Laboratories, l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Rochester et l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Wisconsin-Madison. Ce composantbvest une plateforme flexible qui permet aux chercheurs en quantique de Sandia de comparer directement diff\u00e9rents encodages de qubits et de d\u00e9velopper de nouveaux modes de fonctionnement des qubits, ce qui n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas possible auparavant\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Dr Dwight Luhman, membre \u00e9minent du personnel technique des Sandia National Laboratories,<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Ce niveau de sophistication nous permet d&rsquo;innover en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;op\u00e9rations et d&rsquo;algorithmes quantiques dans le r\u00e9gime multiqubit et d&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer notre taux d&rsquo;apprentissage dans les syst\u00e8mes quantiques bas\u00e9s sur le silicium.
