Ces derni\u00e8res ne sont contr\u00f4l\u00e9es que par l&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur des couches de puits quantiques et non par les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s optiques des mat\u00e9riaux semi-conducteurs dont le processus de changement n\u2019est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas facile \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre.<\/p>\n<p>Cette technique est utilis\u00e9e depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es pour caract\u00e9riser chimiquement des compos\u00e9s par absorption ou par transmission. Historiquement les QCLs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 invent\u00e9s et fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 70 par Federico Capasso, Jer\u00f4me Faist et leurs coll\u00e8gues des laboratoires Bell, mais leur large utilisation pour des applications en dehors du laboratoire est beaucoup plus r\u00e9cente.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, avec la distribution de la marque Block Engineering en France, HTDS renforce encore son offre commerciale en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;Opto\u00e9lectronique et propose d\u00e9sormais une gamme compl\u00e8te de lasers \u00e0 cascade quantique nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 de nombreuses applications et notamment pour la spectroscopie d&rsquo;absorption infrarouge (IR) ultra-rapide.<br \/>\nLes nouveaux QCLs Block Engineering ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7us pour un fonctionnement en r\u00e9gime puls\u00e9 dans une configuration en cavit\u00e9 externe bas\u00e9e sur un r\u00e9seau de diffraction. Ils offrent un r\u00e9glage continu entre 5.4 et 12.8 \u00b5m, cette plage de r\u00e9glage \u00e9tant la plus large pour un syst\u00e8me compact int\u00e9gr\u00e9 disponible \u00e0 ce jour sur le march\u00e9.
