Il est capable de saisir et de manipuler des micro-objets de 40 \u00b5m \u00e0 plusieurs centaines \u00b5m. MiGriBot peut r\u00e9aliser 720 op\u00e9rations de prise et d\u00e9pose par minute, avec une pr\u00e9cision inf\u00e9rieure au microm\u00e8tre. Ces performances font de lui le robot le plus rapide au monde, toutes \u00e9chelles confondues !<br \/>\nEn effet, les robots industriels de prise et d\u00e9pose les plus rapides ne d\u00e9passent pas les 250 cycles par minute. Le robot d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en 2018 par l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Harvard est d\u2019une vitesse \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 MiGriBot, mais ne poss\u00e8de que trois degr\u00e9s de mobilit\u00e9 et n\u2019int\u00e8gre pas la fonction de pr\u00e9hension. L\u2019universit\u00e9 de Tokyo a con\u00e7u en 2020 un robot miniature de prise et d\u00e9pose mais dont la vitesse ne d\u00e9passe pas les 72 op\u00e9rations par minute sur une course de 60 \u00b5m. Le robot MiGriBot d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par l\u2019\u00e9quipe RoMoCo de FEMTO-ST est ainsi 10 fois plus rapide sur un d\u00e9placement 10 fois plus important de 600 \u00b5m.<\/p>\n<p>Un autre avantage de ce robot est que toutes ses mobilit\u00e9s, y compris la micro-pince qui est plac\u00e9e sur l\u2019extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 articul\u00e9e, sont actionn\u00e9es depuis la base du robot, rendant ses parties mobiles tr\u00e8s l\u00e9g\u00e8res. Enfin, sa structure robotique n\u2019occupe qu\u2019une surface de 20 x 20 mm2 . Ce niveau de compacit\u00e9 est obtenu en utilisant du silicium pour les \u00e9l\u00e9ments rigides, un polym\u00e8re (polydim\u00e9thylsiloxane &#8211; PDMS) comme articulations souples et des actionneurs pi\u00e9zo\u00e9lectriques dot\u00e9s de capteurs de position. MiGriBot est donc plus l\u00e9ger, plus compact et plus rapide que les microrobots de manipulation d\u00e9j\u00e0 existants.<\/p>\n<p>La vitesse et la pr\u00e9cision sont deux enjeux majeurs dans les syst\u00e8mes automatis\u00e9s de production et de l\u2019industrie 4.0. Ce robot servira \u00e0 assembler des syst\u00e8mes micro-\u00e9lectro-m\u00e9caniques et optiques (MEMS\/MOEMS) utilis\u00e9s dans l\u2019industrie de l\u2019\u00e9lectronique o\u00f9 les besoins en cadence de travail sont de plus en plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa vitesse et \u00e0 sa compacit\u00e9, plus de 2000 robots pourront \u00eatre plac\u00e9s dans 1 m2 pour r\u00e9aliser plus d\u2019un million d\u2019op\u00e9rations par seconde ! Augmenter les cadences permet d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la productivit\u00e9 et la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 des industriels ce qui favorisera la relocalisation de la production en Europe, en Am\u00e9rique du Nord et dans les pays \u00e0 haut co\u00fbt de main d\u2019\u0153uvre.
