Les bandes passantes utilis&eacute;es pour la retransmission d&rsquo;&eacute;v&egrave;nements sportifs en HD et dans les studios de t&eacute;l&eacute;vision, ainsi que pour les applications WLAN utilisant WiGig (802.11ad), ne sont pas seulement plus larges mais elles sont &eacute;galement de plus en plus utilis&eacute;es pour les applications de d&eacute;tection de pr&eacute;sence humaine ou de d&eacute;tection embarqu&eacute;e dans l&rsquo;industrie automobile.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;&eacute;valuation du spectre des signaux millim&eacute;triques ultra large bande<strong><em> <\/em><\/strong>exige de mesurer les caract&eacute;ristiques de transmission avec facilit&eacute; et pr&eacute;cision. Les m&eacute;langeurs harmoniques conventionnels utilis&eacute;s &agrave; cet effet ont l&rsquo;inconv&eacute;nient d&rsquo;introduire des pertes de conversion &eacute;lev&eacute;es et de g&eacute;n&eacute;rer des &quot;fr&eacute;quences images&quot; laissant appara&icirc;tre &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;cran un signal fant&ocirc;me non existant dans la bande d&rsquo;analyse. Ce m&eacute;langeur hautes performances en guide d&rsquo;ondes r&eacute;sout tous ces probl&egrave;mes en permettant d&rsquo;effectuer des mesures ultra sensibles d&rsquo;infrastructures et d&rsquo;&eacute;quipements de communication sans fil utilisant des signaux millim&eacute;triques large bande.<br \/>\nParmi les caract&eacute;ristiques cl&eacute;s de cet instrument, citons notamment des performances telles que le dBm de compression (P1dB) sup&eacute;rieure &agrave; 0, ainsi qu&rsquo;un plancher de bruit minimum de -150 dBm\/Hz, signifiant qu&rsquo;il peut mesurer des signaux extr&ecirc;mement faibles non d&eacute;tect&eacute;s par les appareils de mesure conventionnels. En combinant ce m&eacute;langeur &agrave; l&rsquo;analyseur de signaux con&ccedil;u avec une fr&eacute;quence interm&eacute;diaire (IF) &eacute;lev&eacute;es de 1,875 GHz, la solution supporte les mesures spectrales de gabarits de signaux ayant une largeur de bande de 1 GHz sans l&rsquo;apparition de &quot;fr&eacute;quence image&quot;.
