Il r&eacute;gule une tension de sortie entre 1,2 V et 36 V &agrave; partir d&rsquo;une tension d&rsquo;entr&eacute;e de 5 V &agrave; 36 V (40 Vmax.), en trois modes de fonctionnement, abaisseur, &eacute;l&eacute;vateur et abaisseur-&eacute;l&eacute;vateur (la tension d&rsquo;entr&eacute;e V<sub>IN<\/sub> avoisine la tension de sortie V<sub>OUT<\/sub>).<br \/>\nIl poss&egrave;de une architecture en mode &eacute;l&eacute;vateur &agrave; quatre commutateurs afin d&rsquo;optimiser le rendement qui atteint 92% pour V<sub>IN<\/sub> de 24 V et V<sub>OUT<\/sub> de 12 V, et 94% pour V<sub>IN<\/sub> de 36 V et V<sub>OUT<\/sub> de 24 V. La transition entre les modes de fonctionnement est automatique, faisant de ce r&eacute;gulateur DC une solution simple et compacte pour une gamme &eacute;tendue d&rsquo;applications telles les contr&ocirc;les industriels, l&rsquo;automobile, les syst&egrave;mes aliment&eacute;s par &eacute;nergie solaire et sur batterie de forte puissance.<br \/>\nLes fonctions de gestion et de limitation du courant en entr&eacute;e et en sortie int&eacute;gr&eacute;es sont particuli&egrave;rement bien adapt&eacute;es pour les applications qui n&eacute;cessitent un fonctionnement &agrave; intensit&eacute; constante, comme les contr&ocirc;leurs de LED, les chargeurs de batterie, les contr&ocirc;leurs de ventilateurs et les dispositifs de refroidissement thermo&eacute;lectriques.
