Les premiers ann&eacute;es, la commande &eacute;tait manuelle, puis l&rsquo;arriv&eacute;e des commutateurs et relais a permis de mettre en place des fonctionnements programm&eacute;s simple. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, les feux tricolores sont contr&ocirc;l&eacute;s par de multiples capteurs tels que des boucles d&rsquo;induction, incorpor&eacute;s dans la chauss&eacute;e, ou des capteurs infrarouges et \/ ou des capteurs de proximit&eacute;. Les ordinateurs int&eacute;gr&eacute;s qui traitent les signaux des capteurs, apportent une part d&rsquo;intelligence et d&rsquo;adaptabilit&eacute; pour am&eacute;liorer le fonctionnement des armoires de commandes.<\/p>\n<p>Il est temps de passer aux feux intelligents qui vont g&eacute;rer plus d&rsquo;informations sur les intersections complexes pour prendre en compte des priorit&eacute;s. Ce sujet fait partie de l&rsquo;UR: BAN, un projet de recherche conjoint en Allemagne qui vise &agrave; une meilleure gestion du trafic associ&eacute;e aux syst&egrave;mes d&rsquo;assistance au conducteur. \n<\/p>\n<p>Ralf Kutzner de l&rsquo;Institut de l&rsquo;ing&eacute;nierie du trafic et de la planification de l&rsquo;Universit&eacute; technique d&rsquo;infrastructure de Braunschweig d&eacute;crit ce qu&rsquo;est un croisement intelligent. &quot;Tout comme les concepteurs des premiers syst&egrave;mes de feux de circulation, nous sommes guid&eacute;s par l&rsquo;id&eacute;e de rendre le trafic plus s&ucirc;r et plus efficace.&quot; Pour cela, les chercheurs utilisent des outils de simulation de l&rsquo;&eacute;coulement du trafic et la mod&eacute;lisation. Ils disposent maintenant d&rsquo;un outil que leurs pr&eacute;d&eacute;cesseurs n&rsquo;avaient pas: la connectivit&eacute;. \n<\/p>\n<p>A la base, l&rsquo;&eacute;quipe de recherche veut que les v&eacute;hicules communiquent entres eux et avec le syst&egrave;me de contr&ocirc;le des feux de circulation. Les donn&eacute;es r&eacute;cup&eacute;r&eacute;es par le bin&ocirc;me voiture \/infrastructure (C2X) sont introduites dans le syst&egrave;me de gestion du flux de trafic qui utilise ces donn&eacute;es pour produire une image instantan&eacute;e des param&egrave;tres du trafic (densit&eacute;, vitesse, direction, etc.). Sur la base de ces donn&eacute;es, le flux de circulation peut &ecirc;tre optimis&eacute; en temps r&eacute;el. Mais garder un trafic fluide n&rsquo;est pas seulement l&rsquo;affaire des feux de circulation. \n<\/p>\n<p>En connectant les syst&egrave;mes d&rsquo;aide &agrave; la conduite du conducteur, les donn&eacute;es des v&eacute;hicules peuvent &ecirc;tre utilis&eacute;es pour calculer sa vitesse optimale et &eacute;viter les freinages et acc&eacute;l&eacute;rations inutiles. Dans le cas id&eacute;al, le syst&egrave;me stop and start dont le but est de limiter la consommation de carburant et la pollution devient inutile.
