Gr&acirc;ce &agrave; cette EEPROM int&eacute;gr&eacute;e, les OEM optant pour le MLX92242 pourront effectuer une programmation EOL (End Of Line, ou fin de ligne), afin de compenser toutes les tol&eacute;rances m&eacute;caniques inh&eacute;rentes &agrave; l&rsquo;application.<br \/>\nLa m&eacute;moire programmable sert &agrave; param&eacute;trer les diverses tol&eacute;rances &agrave; d&eacute;finir pour l&rsquo;application sp&eacute;cifique (par l&rsquo;interm&eacute;diaire de la broche VDD du dispositif), et au besoin &agrave; les ajuster, avant de finalement les verrouiller. La plage et la r&eacute;solution des seuils magn&eacute;tiques et des coefficients de sensibilit&eacute; thermique programmables, permettent d&rsquo;implanter facilement un d&eacute;tecteur de proximit&eacute; de m&eacute;tal ferreux en utilisant un simple aimant. La possibilit&eacute; de programmer la compensation de temp&eacute;rature du MLX92242 permet de l&rsquo;utiliser avec tous types d&rsquo;aimants (y compris les mod&egrave;les les plus &eacute;conomiques en ferrite). Les commutateurs &agrave; d&eacute;tection de proximit&eacute; ferreuse ainsi obtenus conviendront &agrave; de nombreuses applications de fin-de-course, de d&eacute;tection de proximit&eacute; ou d&rsquo;encodage.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Ce qui diff&eacute;rencie le MLX92242 d&rsquo;autres dispositifs de ce type est le fait qu&rsquo;il supporte la connexion 2&nbsp;fils plut&ocirc;t que 3&nbsp;fils, en ne n&eacute;cessitant que les broches VDD et GND, mais en restant capable d&rsquo;assurer le diagnostic n&eacute;cessaire en cas de panne. L&rsquo;avantage est de n&eacute;cessiter moins de c&acirc;blage, et donc de permettre un d&eacute;ploiement dans des espaces confin&eacute;s, tout en r&eacute;duisant le poids global, notamment pour certaines applications o&ugrave; le poids peut &ecirc;tre p&eacute;nalisant. La plage de tension, qui s&rsquo;&eacute;tend de 2.7V &agrave; 24V, autorise une tr&egrave;s grande souplesse de conception. <\/p>\n<p>Le MLX92242 est principalement destin&eacute; aux applications automobiles, comme les d&eacute;tecteurs de verrouillage de ceinture de s&eacute;curit&eacute;, les capteurs de position de si&egrave;ges, les l&egrave;ve-vitres, etc. Il peut &ecirc;tre utilis&eacute; pour des applications &agrave; distance, o&ugrave; une certaine distance le s&eacute;pare de l&rsquo;ECU (Electronic Control Unit, ou unit&eacute; &eacute;lectronique de commande). Il peut &eacute;galement servir &agrave; un certain nombre de t&acirc;ches industrielles ou de s&eacute;curit&eacute;. Le syst&egrave;me propri&eacute;taire sophistiqu&eacute; de compensation d&rsquo;offset au niveau du noyau magn&eacute;tique, permet un traitement plus rapide et plus pr&eacute;cis des donn&eacute;es du capteur, tout en &eacute;tant r&eacute;silient aux fluctuations de temp&eacute;rature et &agrave; d&rsquo;autres formes de contraintes inh&eacute;rentes &agrave; l&rsquo;automobile et aux milieux industriels. Le dispositif pr&eacute;sente une r&eacute;silience tr&egrave;s &eacute;lev&eacute;e aux ph&eacute;nom&egrave;nes de d&eacute;charge &eacute;lectrostatique (ESD, pour Electro-Static Discharge), conforme aux 8&nbsp;kV de d&eacute;charge &eacute;lectrostatique que peut g&eacute;n&eacute;rer un corps humain, et offre une large plage de temp&eacute;rature op&eacute;rationnelle allant de -40&deg;C &agrave; +150&deg;C. Le MLX92242 int&egrave;gre aussi une protection contre l&rsquo;inversion de polarit&eacute;, ainsi qu&rsquo;un m&eacute;canisme de verrouillage le prot&eacute;geant en cas de tension insuffisante.
