Sa non-volatilit&eacute; permet aux donn&eacute;es d&rsquo;&ecirc;tre conserv&eacute;es m&ecirc;me en l&rsquo;absence d&rsquo;alimentation, tandis que son acc&egrave;s al&eacute;atoire autorise une &eacute;criture plus rapide et sans le retard g&eacute;n&eacute;ralement in&eacute;vitable des m&eacute;moires non volatiles. Extr&ecirc;mement durable, elle est capable de r&eacute;aliser 10 trillions (10&sup1;&sup3;) de cycles de lecture\/&eacute;criture, c&rsquo;est-&agrave;-dire 10 millions de fois plus qu&rsquo;une m&eacute;moire non volatile standard. Cette grande endurance assure une journalisation en temps r&eacute;el dans les applications prises en charge.<br \/>\nCette m&eacute;moire fonctionne &agrave; une tension comprise entre 1.8 V et 3.3 V et &agrave; des temp&eacute;ratures allant de -40 &deg;C &agrave; +85 &deg;C. Son alimentation active g&eacute;n&egrave;re une intensit&eacute; maximale de 1.2 mA &agrave; 3.4 MHz. En raison de son cycle d&rsquo;&eacute;criture extr&ecirc;mement court, elle consomme beaucoup moins d&rsquo;&eacute;nergie que l&rsquo;EEPROM.<br \/>\nA sa fr&eacute;quence de fonctionnement, ce circuit propose un mode &quot;high-speed&quot; qui lui permet de r&eacute;aliser des op&eacute;rations de lecture\/&eacute;criture &agrave; 3.4 MHz et &agrave; 1 MHz en parall&egrave;le, une fr&eacute;quence identique &agrave; celle des EEPROM standard. Par cons&eacute;quent, de nombreuses applications utilisant l&rsquo;interface I2C peuvent d&eacute;sormais remplacer leurs EEPROM par cette FRAM.
