Il est capable de piloter correctement des transistors normalement ferm&eacute; JFET, MESFET au m&ecirc;me titre que des transistors normalement ouverts MOSFET, JFET, BJT, SJT. Ces caract&eacute;ristiques comprennent un protocole de communication isol&eacute; entre les drivers low-side et high-side afin d&rsquo;&eacute;viter un &eacute;ventuel court-circuit entre les deux drivers dans l&rsquo;application.<br \/>\nPlusieurs fonctions de protection sont impl&eacute;ment&eacute;es telle que la surveillance ind&eacute;pendante de la grille, du drain et de la source pour d&eacute;tecter toute &eacute;ventuelle d&eacute;faillance. Ce circuit inclut aussi la possibilit&eacute; de r&eacute;glage du d&eacute;lai du Miller Clamp, celle de commande puls&eacute;e pour une mise en route rapide des transistors normalement ouverts, ainsi qu&rsquo;un interrupteur int&eacute;gr&eacute; d&rsquo;arr&ecirc;t doux (soft shutdown). Toutes ces caract&eacute;ristiques en une seule pi&egrave;ce de silicium offrent le plus haut niveau d&rsquo;int&eacute;gration pour les drivers &agrave; haute temp&eacute;rature jamais r&eacute;alis&eacute; jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; ce jour.<br \/>\nGr&acirc;ce &agrave; sa capacit&eacute; &agrave; fonctionner &agrave; haute temp&eacute;rature, ce driver peut &ecirc;tre plac&eacute; &agrave; c&ocirc;t&eacute; du transistor de puissance tout en en utilisant un nombre minimum de composants passifs, ce qui r&eacute;duit la nomenclature (BoM).<br \/>\nIl est capable de fonctionner de mani&egrave;re fiable &agrave; partir de -60 &deg;C et au-del&agrave; de +230 &deg;C, avec un cycle de vie esp&eacute;r&eacute;e de 5 ans &agrave; 230 &deg;C. De plus, sa dur&eacute;e de vie sera augment&eacute;e &agrave; de plus de 35 ans &agrave; une temp&eacute;rature de jonction de 150 &deg;C.<br \/>\nLa communication isol&eacute;e du driver avec un contr&ocirc;leur d&rsquo;application est obtenue gr&acirc;ce &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;metteur-r&eacute;cepteur isol&eacute; XTR40010 de la gamme.
