Il fonctionne en mode de conduction critique (Boundary Mode) qui consiste en un contr&ocirc;le en mode intensit&eacute;, &agrave; d&eacute;coupage et &agrave; fr&eacute;quence variable, assurant une r&eacute;gulation de &plusmn; 5% sur la tension de sortie, les variations de charge et de temp&eacute;rature. Le fonctionnement en mode Boundary permet l&rsquo;emploi d&rsquo;un transformateur plus petit que ceux employ&eacute;s dans les conceptions &agrave; mode conduction continue &eacute;quivalentes. La tension de sortie est facilement fix&eacute;e &agrave; l&rsquo;aide de deux r&eacute;sistances externes et du rapport du transformateur.
