Propos&eacute;e dans des diam&egrave;tres de c&oelig;ur compris entre 50 et 600 &mu;m, cette fibre optique &agrave; large spectre, &agrave; c&oelig;ur en silice pur &agrave; faible teneur en OH, pr&eacute;sente une r&eacute;duction importante des d&eacute;fauts UV et autres centres d&rsquo;absorption UV. Dans le domaine des longueurs d&rsquo;onde du proche infrarouge (PIR) jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; plus de 2 100 nm, son att&eacute;nuation &eacute;quivaut aux fibres PIR standard &agrave; c&oelig;ur de silice &agrave; faible teneur en OH et gaine dop&eacute;e au fluor. Comparable aux propri&eacute;t&eacute;s de solarisation des fibres standard &agrave; haute teneur en OH optimis&eacute;es pour les UV et &agrave; r&eacute;sistance &eacute;lev&eacute;e au rayonnement, cette fibre assure une transmission des rayons ultraviolets jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; 200 nm.<br \/>\n&quot;Les applications spectroscopiques exigent souvent des fibres optiques haute performance capables de diffuser la lumi&egrave;re sur un spectre tr&egrave;s large&quot;, explique Robert Dauphinais<strong>, <\/strong>directeur du d&eacute;veloppement chez Polymicro Technologies. &quot;Contrairement aux fibres optiques standard, qui sont limit&eacute;es au niveau de leur domaine spectral de transmission, la fibre optique exclusive de Polymicro transmet une plage plus &eacute;tendue de longueurs d&rsquo;ondes en garantissant une uniformit&eacute; relative sur toute la plage de longueurs d&rsquo;onde.&quot;<br \/>\nSouple et solide, la fibre HSW pour l&rsquo;&eacute;mission laser au CO2 peut &ecirc;tre optimis&eacute;e pour des longueurs d&rsquo;ondes de 3 &agrave; 20 &mu;m dans le domaine de l&rsquo;infrarouge (IR) dans toute une s&eacute;rie d&rsquo;applications, notamment le remplacement des bras rigides articul&eacute;s, &agrave; la fois co&ucirc;teux et lourds, des applications laser m&eacute;dicales et dentaires, de la d&eacute;coupe industrielle et de l&rsquo;impression, ainsi que du marquage laser. En autorisant une puissance d&rsquo;&eacute;mission laser &eacute;lev&eacute;e, jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; 100 W, la structure en silice &agrave; c&oelig;ur creux simplifie les connections des extr&eacute;mit&eacute;s, r&eacute;duit les niveaux d&rsquo;abrasion et constitue une solution robuste dans les environnements extr&ecirc;mes. La g&eacute;om&eacute;trie de la fibre biocompatible peut &ecirc;tre modifi&eacute;e tr&egrave;s facilement, ce qui permet de personnaliser les pi&egrave;ces.
