Pour les applications n&eacute;cessitant un code sup&eacute;rieur &agrave; 32 bits, l&rsquo;identifiant peut &ecirc;tre &eacute;tendu &agrave; 48, 64, 96 ou 128 bits, ou &agrave; toute autre longueur, en augmentant le nombre d&rsquo;octets lus par la m&eacute;moire. &Eacute;tant donn&eacute; que l&rsquo;identifiant &agrave; 32 bits est unique, toute s&eacute;quence de bits plus longue l&rsquo;est &eacute;galement. Ces adresses MAC int&eacute;gr&eacute;es permettent aux d&eacute;veloppeurs d&rsquo;acqu&eacute;rir des adresses MAC seulement quand ils en ont besoin et &eacute;liminent la n&eacute;cessit&eacute; de passer par une programmation s&eacute;rialis&eacute;e.<br \/>\nGr&acirc;ce &agrave; leur identifiant r&eacute;seau EUI-64, ces EEPROM sont particuli&egrave;rement adapt&eacute;es aux applications sur r&eacute;seaux Ethernet, Wi-Fi Bluetooth, FireWire, ZigBee et au protocole propri&eacute;taire MiWi. Ces composants sont tr&egrave;s performants sur un vaste &eacute;ventail d&rsquo;applications, y compris sur des produits grand public comme les radios et imprimantes sans fil, les &eacute;couteurs Bluetooth, les t&eacute;l&eacute;viseurs LCD capables de se connecter &agrave; l&rsquo;Internet et les applications de domotique.
