Un moteur d&rsquo;interface s&eacute;rie SIE int&eacute;gr&eacute; g&egrave;re le protocole USB, ainsi que l&rsquo;identification, la v&eacute;rification et l&rsquo;ordonnancement des paquets. Plusieurs modes de transfert USB sont support&eacute;s, ce qui permet le transfert isochrone ou en vrac des donn&eacute;es, tout en supportant le protocole d&rsquo;interruption.<br \/>\nSur les mod&egrave;les FT120 et FT122, la connexion au microcontr&ocirc;leur (ou au FPGA) se fait par une interface parall&egrave;le 8 bits classique, tandis que le FT121 utilise le mode SPI esclave. Le FT120 dispose de 3 extr&eacute;mit&eacute;s USB, avec chacune 320 octets tampon configurables, int&eacute;gr&eacute;s au contr&ocirc;leur. Les FT121 et FT122 offrent une plus grande capacit&eacute;, avec jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; 8 extr&eacute;mit&eacute;s bidirectionnelles, chacune avec 2 Koctets de capacit&eacute; tampon. Ils disposent &eacute;galement de la d&eacute;tection de charge de batterie USB, autorisant jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; 1.8 A au lieu des 500 mA habituels, et d&rsquo;un port de charge d&eacute;di&eacute; DCP sans devoir ajouter de composants externes. Ils assurent eux-m&ecirc;mes la g&eacute;n&eacute;ration d&rsquo;horloge sans n&eacute;cessiter de quartz, ce qui lib&egrave;re un espace pr&eacute;cieux sur la carte et r&eacute;duit le co&ucirc;t du syst&egrave;me.
