La tension minimale d&rsquo;isolation est de 5000 Vrms. Parmi les applications vis&eacute;es figurent les syst&egrave;mes d&rsquo;automatisation industrielle, des dispositifs de contr&ocirc;le et des &eacute;quipements de mesure. Garanti pour op&eacute;rer &agrave; des temp&eacute;ratures de -40 &deg;C &agrave; +125 &deg;C, ce dispositif supporte la gamme &eacute;tendue de tensions d&rsquo;alimentation de 2,7 V &agrave; 5,5 V. Il est donc adapt&eacute; aussi bien aux conceptions basse tension qu&rsquo;aux syst&egrave;mes existants construits autour d&rsquo;une alimentation 5 V. Le fonctionnement basse tension est support&eacute; par un courant de seuil en entr&eacute;e de seulement 5 mA au maximum. Compar&eacute; aux produits pr&eacute;c&eacute;dents, ce circuit est susceptible de r&eacute;duire la consommation jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; 75%, selon l&rsquo;application. Il est construit autour d&rsquo;une diode &eacute;lectroluminescente infrarouge en GaAlAs coupl&eacute;e optiquement &agrave; un photod&eacute;tecteur haute vitesse de gain &eacute;lev&eacute;, avec une sortie logique &agrave; collecteur ouvert.
