Dot&eacute; d&rsquo;une d&eacute;finition QVGA de 320 x 240 pixels, l&rsquo;afficheur en question dispose d&rsquo;une r&eacute;flectivit&eacute; de 17,5 % et d&rsquo;angles de vue de 120&deg; dans toutes les directions pour une tr&egrave;s bonne lisibilit&eacute;, y compris dans les environnements &agrave; faible &eacute;clairement ambiant. Qui plus est, Sharp a &eacute;galement &eacute;quip&eacute; l&rsquo;&eacute;cran r&eacute;f&eacute;renc&eacute; LS044Q7DH01 d&rsquo;une partie transmissive (transmissivit&eacute; &agrave; hauteur de 0,25 %) offrant ainsi &agrave; ce mod&egrave;le la possibilit&eacute;, le cas &eacute;ch&eacute;ant, de fonctionner avec un syst&egrave;me de r&eacute;tro&eacute;clairage pour une utilisation m&ecirc;me dans une compl&egrave;te obscurit&eacute;. Cette fonction constitue un avantage important dans des applications telles que les ordinateurs utilis&eacute;s dans le sport ou m&ecirc;me les &eacute;quipements de mesure qui doivent parfois &ecirc;tre utilis&eacute;s de nuit. A l&rsquo;instar des autres LCD &agrave; m&eacute;moire de Sharp, le LS044Q7DH01 affiche une consommation electrique extr&ecirc;mement faible avec seulement 0,25 mW pour des images fixes et 0,65 mW pour des images rafra&icirc;chies &agrave; 1 Hz (valeurs obtenues sans r&eacute;tro&eacute;clairage).<br \/>\nDans le bas de l&rsquo;&eacute;chelle des diagonales, Sharp a &eacute;tendu sa gamme avec des mod&egrave;les de 1,17 pouce (r&eacute;f&eacute;rence : LS012B4DG01) et 1,28 pouce (r&eacute;f&eacute;rence : LS013B7DH03). Malgr&eacute; sa compacit&eacute; (26,6 x 30,3 x 0,75 mm), celui de 1,28 pouce de diagonale impressionne par sa d&eacute;finition relativement &eacute;lev&eacute;e (128 x 128 pixels) pour un mod&egrave;le de cette taille. Comme le nouvel afficheur de 4,4 pouces, le LS013B7DH03 dispose d&rsquo;une transmissivit&eacute; de 0,2 % et peut donc, lui aussi, &ecirc;tre &eacute;quip&eacute; d&rsquo;un syst&egrave;me de r&eacute;tro&eacute;clairage. <br \/>\nQuant &agrave; la plus petite d&eacute;clinaison de la famille de LCD &agrave; m&eacute;moire sign&eacute;e Sharp, celle r&eacute;f&eacute;renc&eacute;e LS012B4DG01, elle se distingue par sa forme, avec une surface de 35,1 x 11 mm et une d&eacute;finition de 184 x 38 pixels. Ce qui en fait un &eacute;cran id&eacute;al pour l&rsquo;affichage de fonctions et de contr&ocirc;le pour des &eacute;quipements et outils fonctionnant sur batterie. D&rsquo;autant qu&rsquo;il est performant dans une plage de temp&eacute;rature allant de -10 &deg;C &agrave; +70 &deg;C. Qui plus est, le c&acirc;ble plat relativement long (52 mm) dont dispose l&rsquo;&eacute;cran lui permet d&rsquo;&ecirc;tre positionn&eacute; et int&eacute;gr&eacute; ais&eacute;ment dans le bo&icirc;tier d&rsquo;une visseuse-d&eacute;visseuse sans fil, d&rsquo;une per&ccedil;euse, etc.<br \/>\nLa tr&egrave;s faible consommation des LCD &agrave; m&eacute;moire de Sharp tient au fait que chaque pixel de ces &eacute;crans innovants int&egrave;gre un bit de m&eacute;moire, ce qui permet de stocker l&rsquo;image que doit diffuser l&rsquo;afficheur. Ainsi, pour une image donn&eacute;e, seuls les pixels qui ont &eacute;t&eacute; modifi&eacute;s par rapport &agrave; l&rsquo;image pr&eacute;c&eacute;dente doivent &ecirc;tre r&eacute;&eacute;crits. De plus, les LCD &agrave; m&eacute;moire sont de type r&eacute;flectif et ne n&eacute;cessitent par cons&eacute;quent aucun syst&egrave;me de r&eacute;tro&eacute;clairage pour fonctionner. La combinaison de ces deux technologies est &agrave; l&rsquo;origine de la tr&egrave;s faible consommation &eacute;lectrique des LCD &agrave; m&eacute;moire, consommation &eacute;quivalente &agrave; seulement 0,8 % de la consommation des &eacute;crans traditionnels de taille identique. A l&rsquo;inverse, dans le cas d&rsquo;un LCD transmissif conventionnel, les microcontr&ocirc;leurs doivent r&eacute;&eacute;crire l&rsquo;ensemble du contenu de chaque image avec une fr&eacute;quence de rafraichissement de 50 ou 60 Hz et ce, m&ecirc;me quand ce contenu n&rsquo;est pas modifi&eacute;. Qui plus est, dans les LCD usuels, le syst&egrave;me de r&eacute;tro&eacute;clairage est, de loin, l&rsquo;&eacute;l&eacute;ment de l&rsquo;afficheur consommant le plus d&rsquo;&eacute;nergie &eacute;lectrique.
