Il int\u00e8gre un microcontr\u00f4leur sophistiqu\u00e9 et un capteur de pression MEMS, ainsi qu&rsquo;un \u00e9metteur sans-fil 315\/433 MHz, supportant des d\u00e9bits jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 150 kbits\/s, et un r\u00e9cepteur 125 kHz pour communiquer avec l\u2019unit\u00e9 de commande \u00e9lectronique (ECU) du v\u00e9hicule. Une m\u00e9moire embarqu\u00e9e de 16 ko assure le stockage des donn\u00e9es et le code d&rsquo;une application sp\u00e9cifique. Enfin, un acc\u00e9l\u00e9rom\u00e8tre \u00e0 1 ou 2 axes est \u00e9galement int\u00e9gr\u00e9 afin de supporter toutes les fonctions d&rsquo;auto-localisation \u00e0 capteur de roue pr\u00e9sentes sur le march\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La combinaison de l&#8217;empreinte sur carte r\u00e9duite et du haut niveau d&rsquo;int\u00e9gration de ce dispositif permet une r\u00e9duction sensible des dimensions de la carte. Parall\u00e8lement, sa faible consommation, que ce soit en mode sommeil comme en mode op\u00e9rationnel, autorise une r\u00e9duction de la taille de la batterie. Tout cela donne un module capteur \u00e0 la fois plus petit et plus l\u00e9ger. Associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rom\u00e8tre \u00ab\u00a0High-G\u00a0\u00bb (gamme d&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations \u00e9lev\u00e9es) \u00e0 acquisition de donn\u00e9es rapide, on se rapproche de l&rsquo;implantation TMS, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire du capteur install\u00e9 directement sur le pneu que les fournisseurs de rang 1 souhaitent mettre en \u0153uvre \u00e0 l&rsquo;avenir.<\/p>\n<p>La meilleure pr\u00e9cision dans sa cat\u00e9gorie, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la possibilit\u00e9 de r\u00e9aliser des mesures de pression rapides au prix d&rsquo;une consommation minime, permet d&rsquo;envisager de nouvelles fonctions comme l&rsquo;assistance au gonflage sans incidence visible sur l&rsquo;autonomie de la batterie.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Avec une plage de temp\u00e9rature op\u00e9rationnelle de -40 \u00b0C \u00e0 + 125 \u00b0C et une tr\u00e8s grande r\u00e9silience aux chocs (10.000 G), ce dispositif peut supporter l&rsquo;environnement s\u00e9v\u00e8re du pneu lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0La supervision de la pression des pneus est d\u00e9sormais un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel dans la conception des v\u00e9hicules modernes,\u00a0\u00bb affirme Ivan Zagan, Product Manager TPMS chez Melexis. \u00ab\u00a0La popularit\u00e9 des syst\u00e8mes TPMS dans le monde va croissant, sous l&rsquo;influence des r\u00e9glementations internationales et de l&rsquo;accent mis de plus en plus sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des usagers de la route.
