Cet \u00e9largissement entra\u00eene une perte de r\u00e9solution et de coh\u00e9rence des images dans les spectrographes. Afin de r\u00e9duire ces pertes de lumi\u00e8re, les concepteurs d\u2019instruments doivent quantifier la FRD et minimiser son influence avant de d\u00e9velopper les composants principaux.<br \/>\nLe r\u00f4le de ce banc d\u2019essai optique est de se charger de ces mesures.<\/p>\n<p>Actuellement, les mesures r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur les fibres optiques comprennent l\u2019\u00e9valuation de la configuration g\u00e9om\u00e9trique en temps r\u00e9el (1000&nbsp;mesures par secondes), de la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction en ligne (100&nbsp;000&nbsp;psi) et de propri\u00e9t\u00e9s optiques telles que l\u2019att\u00e9nuation et l\u2019ouverture num\u00e9rique. Ce banc d\u2019essai vient compl\u00e9ter cette liste avec une m\u00e9thode de mesure de la FRD pour les fibres optiques destin\u00e9es \u00e0 des applications en astronomie. Jusqu\u2019alors, les concepteurs d\u2019instruments d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019astronomie devaient r\u00e9aliser leurs propres mesures FRD individuelles tandis que ce banc d\u2019essai optique permet d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 Molex de mesurer et de v\u00e9rifier pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment des \u00e9chantillons de fibre optique.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, son entit\u00e9 Polymicro Technologies, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Phoenix en Arizona, est actuellement en train de tester des \u00e9chantillons de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de c\u00e2bles \u00e0 fibres optiques qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 v\u00e9rifi\u00e9s et valid\u00e9s pour des applications en astronomie. En comparant les r\u00e9sultats de test de nouveaux c\u00e2bles \u00e0 fibres optiques \u00e0 ceux de ces \u00e9chantillons de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, le banc d\u2019essai optique peut valider ou rejeter de nouvelles fibres produites par Polymicro Technologies. Les \u00e9chantillons sont compar\u00e9s et r\u00e9pertori\u00e9s pour toute r\u00e9f\u00e9rence ult\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Selon Teodor Tichindelean, \u00ab\u00a0la fibre optique \u00e0 large spectre FBP de Polymicro Technologies est devenue, au cours des 10&nbsp;derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la norme reconnue pour les concepteurs de syst\u00e8mes de fibres optiques et est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9e dans les applications en astronomie.\u00a0\u00bb<br \/>\n\u00ab\u00a0L\u2019utilisation de fibres optiques dont la performance FRD est pr\u00e9-test\u00e9e peut permettre de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts et le temps n\u00e9cessaires au d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux spectrographes,\u00a0\u00bb ajoute-t\u2019il. \u00ab\u00a0Nous utilisons le banc d\u2019essai optique comme un outil de diagnostic permettant d\u2019identifier, de quantifier et \u00e9ventuellement de minimiser les sources de FRD afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les performances de la fibre et de l\u2019instrument.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Molex pr\u00e9sentera les solutions Polymicro Technologies au salon SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation qui se tiendra au Centre International de Conf\u00e9rence d\u2019\u00c9dimbourg, au Royaume-Uni, du 26&nbsp;juin au 1<sup>er<\/sup>&nbsp;juillet 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.molex.com\/polymicro?utm_source=prssorch&amp;utm_medium=prrelease&amp;utm_term=Polymicro+Astronomy&amp;utm_campaign=ply\">www.molex.com\/polymicro<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Molex vient de d\u00e9velopper un banc d\u2019essai optique Polymicro Technologies dans le but de mesurer et de valider les fibres optiques destin\u00e9es \u00e0 des applications dans le domaine de l\u2019astronomie.
