Les pr\u00e9sentations et les conf\u00e9rences du symposium portaient sur de multiples sujets comme les \u00e9lectrolytes et les additifs, les interfaces d&rsquo;\u00e9lectrodes, cathodes, anodes, la mod\u00e9lisation et les syst\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<p>Par rapport au lithium, le magn\u00e9sium peut lib\u00e9rer et absorber deux \u00e9lectrons, ce qui en fait un mat\u00e9riau tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant pour la recherche sur les batteries dans le stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie stationnaire, par exemple pour des \u00e9oliennes ou des panneaux solaires. Les batteries utilisant le magn\u00e9sium sont actuellement les solutions recherch\u00e9es pour des alternatives sans lithium dans le domaine des \u00ab\u00a0batteries haute tension\u00a0\u00bb. Certains constructeurs automobiles investissent dans la recherche surces batteries.<\/p>\n<p>Le magn\u00e9sium est moins r\u00e9actif et donc moins dangereux pour les batteries \u00e0 haute densit\u00e9, et pendant la charge, il n&rsquo;y a pas de croissance de dendrites, qui repr\u00e9sente le principal d\u00e9fi \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;utilisation des anodes au lithium. Il est \u00e9galement moins cher \u00e0 produire car il r\u00e9agit moins rapidement \u00e0 l&rsquo;air que le lithium. Enfin, il&nbsp;est disponible en grandes quantit\u00e9s, par exemple sous la forme de roche, ce qui entra\u00eene une baisse des prix.<\/p>\n<p>Les ing\u00e9nieurs de l&rsquo;Institut de recherche de Toyota d&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique du Nord&nbsp; ont annonc\u00e9 un nouvel \u00e9lectrolyte pour les batteries magn\u00e9sium \u00e0 partir de la recherche sur les piles \u00e0 combustible \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne. \u00abNous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de prendre un mat\u00e9riau qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 dans le stockage d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne et nous l&rsquo;avons rendu compatible et tr\u00e8s comp\u00e9titif pour la chimie de la batterie magn\u00e9sium,\u00a0\u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le chercheur Rana Mohtadi.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Au lieu d&rsquo;utiliser un \u00e9lectrolyte \u00e0 base de chlorure qui peut \u00eatre corrosif, le nouveau concept utilise des grappes d&rsquo;anions de bore de type simple et exempts de sel de magn\u00e9sium, compatible avec le magn\u00e9sium et plus stable que d&rsquo;autres \u00e9lectrolytes. Cela permet \u00e0 des cathodes haute tension d&rsquo;\u00eatre utilis\u00e9es pour une cellule de batterie de base. Ceci marque un tournant dans la recherche et le d\u00e9veloppement de batteries magn\u00e9sium rechargeables pratiques, disent les chercheurs.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;HUI a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en Janvier 2011 par l&rsquo;Institut de technologie de Karlsruhe (KIT) et est membre de l&rsquo;Association Helmholtz, la plus grande organisation scientifique d&rsquo;Allemagne.
