Son circuit innovant de d\u00e9marrage \u00e0 froid (cold start) peut \u00eatre activ\u00e9 m\u00eame si l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie pr\u00e9sente est minimale. Ainsi, une tension d&rsquo;entr\u00e9e de seulement 380 mV et 11 \u03bcW de puissance sont largement suffisants.<\/p>\n<p>Le dispositif capte toute la puissance disponible, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 50 mW, \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;une source telle qu&rsquo;une cellule photovolta\u00efque. Avec une tension d&rsquo;entr\u00e9e dans la plage de 100 mV \u00e0 2,5 V, son convertisseur \u00e9l\u00e9vateur de tension permet le chargement rapide de toute cellule de stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie connect\u00e9e telle qu&rsquo;une batterie Li-Ion, une batterie \u00e0 film mince, un condensateur ou un supercondensateur. Cette technologie permet de tripler le taux de charge par rapport aux autres solutions commercialis\u00e9es actuellement.<\/p>\n<p>Les 2 r\u00e9gulateurs LDO embarqu\u00e9s assurent une efficacit\u00e9 de pr\u00e8s de 98% en courant sur une large plage de charges. L&rsquo;un de ces dispositifs est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une alimentation \u00e0 faible tension et l&rsquo;autre \u00e0 une alimentation \u00e0 forte tension. L&rsquo;alimentation basse tension 1,8 V peut assurer un courant de charge de 10 mA et sert g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e0 alimenter le microcontr\u00f4leur du syst\u00e8me. En parall\u00e8le, l&rsquo;alimentation haute tension, configurable entre 2,2 V et 4,2 V, peut soutenir un courant de charge allant jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 80 mA pour alimenter, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, l&rsquo;\u00e9metteur-r\u00e9cepteur sans fil du syst\u00e8me qui peut \u00eatre bas\u00e9, par exemple, sur un protocole BLE, Zigbee , SigFox ou LoRa.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Outre son meilleur rendement et sa capacit\u00e9 de d\u00e9marrage \u00e0 froid, ce circuit de gestion se diff\u00e9rencie par la richesse des fonctionnalit\u00e9s embarqu\u00e9es, ce qui est particuli\u00e8rement illustr\u00e9 par l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration d&rsquo;une double sortie r\u00e9gul\u00e9e. Le sous-syst\u00e8me qui en r\u00e9sulte a une tr\u00e8s faible empreinte sur le circuit imprim\u00e9 et ne n\u00e9cessite qu&rsquo;une poign\u00e9e de composants passifs\/discrets externes. Cela implique, qu&rsquo;en plus des co\u00fbts, les efforts d&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie n\u00e9cessaires au d\u00e9veloppement sont consid\u00e9rablement r\u00e9duits.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo; AEM10940 deviendra rapidement essentiel pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins de nombreux nouveaux syst\u00e8mes, o\u00f9 chaque mJ d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie est pr\u00e9cieux.
