La fonction de protection contre les d\u00e9faillances qu\u2019int\u00e8grent ces composants emp\u00eache les tensions potentiellement destructrices d\u2019endommager l\u2019interface de communication, un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne qui peut \u00eatre provoqu\u00e9 par des d\u00e9fauts, des surtensions, des d\u00e9charges \u00e9lectrostatiques (ESD) ou des erreurs de c\u00e2blage.<\/p>\n<p>En choisissant ces \u00e9metteurs-r\u00e9cepteurs RS-485, les concepteurs ne sont plus oblig\u00e9s de concevoir, tester, v\u00e9rifier individuellement ces composants, ni d\u2019obtenir formellement la certification r\u00e9glementaire de leur impl\u00e9mentation, dans la mesure o\u00f9 ils ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 re\u00e7u l\u2019approbation requise. De plus, aucun composant de protection externe n\u2019est n\u00e9cessaire, ce qui \u00e9vite d\u2019avoir \u00e0 adapter ces composants discrets aux \u00e9metteurs-r\u00e9cepteurs RS-485 que les utilisateurs ont s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s. De plus, ils r\u00e9pondent aux sp\u00e9cifications RS-485\/RS-422 d\u00e9finies par les associations industrielles TIA\/EIA sur toute la gamme de tension d\u2019alimentation comprise entre 3 V et
