{"id":187818,"date":"2016-12-20T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-12-20T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eenewseurope.artwhere.co\/premier-plasma-pour-west-le-tokamak-pret-a-tester-les-composants-internes-diter\/"},"modified":"2016-12-20T02:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-12-20T02:00:00","slug":"premier-plasma-pour-west-le-tokamak-pret-a-tester-les-composants-internes-diter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/fr\/premier-plasma-pour-west-le-tokamak-pret-a-tester-les-composants-internes-diter\/","title":{"rendered":"Premier plasma pour WEST : le tokamak pr\u00eat \u00e0 tester les composants internes d\u2019ITER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Depuis sa construction dans les ann\u00e9es 1980, le tokamak Tore Supra, une machine capable de confiner le plasma dans un tore ferm\u00e9 et \u00e0 le chauffer pendant une fraction de seconde, n\u2019a cess\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9voluer afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les performances du plasma, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 obtenir un record mondial avec un plasma stationnaire pendant plus de six minutes pour une puissance extraite de 1 gigajoule (GJ). Le projet WEST, pour Tungsten (W) Environment in Steady-state Tokamak, vise \u00e0 transformer Tore Supra en banc d\u2019essai pour ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor), plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, \u00e0 tester un \u00ab\u00a0divertor\u00a0\u00bb utilisant la technologie d\u2019ITER.<br \/>\nSitu\u00e9 sur le plancher de la chambre \u00e0 vide, le divertor est un composant fondamental parce qu\u2019il re\u00e7oit l\u2019essentiel des flux de chaleur et de particules provenant du plasma central. Il a pour fonction d\u2019extraire les \u00ab\u00a0cendres\u00a0\u00bb (l\u2019h\u00e9lium) et une partie de la chaleur produites par la r\u00e9action de fusion, tout en minimisant la contamination du plasma par les autres impuret\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>WEST permet de minimiser les risques (co\u00fbts et d\u00e9lais) li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019industrialisation des composants haute technologie du divertor d\u2019ITER. Des prototypes r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par les fournisseurs s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s pour la fabrication de ce divertor sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 install\u00e9s et des pr\u00e9s\u00e9ries industrielles sont en pr\u00e9paration. De plus, il rend possible l\u2019acquisition des premiers r\u00e9sultats exp\u00e9rimentaux sur le fonctionnement de ce divertor et la pr\u00e9paration des \u00e9quipes \u00e0 son exploitation scientifique dans ITER. Enfin, ce projet acc\u00e9l\u00e8re le test de la tenue et du vieillissement de ce composant face au plasma lors de d\u00e9charges de longues dur\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Le plasma est un quatri\u00e8me \u00e9tat de la mati\u00e8re au-del\u00e0 de la forme gazeuse, obtenu en chauffant un gaz \u00e0 plusieurs millions de degr\u00e9s. On peut comparer le plasma \u00e0 une \u00absoupe\u00bb o\u00f9 noyaux et \u00e9lectrons ne sont plus li\u00e9s et circulent librement. Lorsque deux noyaux \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e9gers\u00a0\u00bb se percutent \u00e0 grande vitesse, ils peuvent fusionner, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un noyau plus lourd : c\u2019est la fusion nucl\u00e9aire. Les quantit\u00e9s d\u2019\u00e9nergie lib\u00e9r\u00e9es sont alors tr\u00e8s importantes, ce qui pousse les scientifiques \u00e0 chercher le moyen d\u2019exploiter cette r\u00e9action comme une nouvelle source d\u2019\u00e9nergie durable, mais il faut pour cela \u00eatre capable de cr\u00e9er, maintenir et contr\u00f4ler ces plasmas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cea.fr\/multimedia\/Documents\/infographies\/tokamak-defisCEA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.cea.fr\/tokamak-defisCEA.pdf<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/west.cea.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">west.cea.fr<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Le tokamak WEST a produit son premier plasma le 14 d\u00e9cembre 2016, traduisant la r\u00e9ussite des op\u00e9rations men\u00e9es depuis 2013 sur le r\u00e9acteur \u00e0 fusion nucl\u00e9aire du CEA.
