Ce convertisseur poss\u00e8de un ensemble de circuits de protection permettant de s\u00e9curiser l\u2019application. Une sortie \u201cPower-Good\u201d fournit un signal de disfonctionnement au syst\u00e8me quand le composant n\u2019est pas pr\u00eat \u00e0 fonctionner ou quand un des circuits de protection est activ\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">La fonction \u201cUnder Voltage Lock Out\u201d (UVLO) coupe le composant lorsque la tension d\u2019alimentation est en dessous d\u2019un certain niveau. La protection thermique le prot\u00e8ge durant une surcharge provoquant le d\u00e9passement d\u2019un seuil de temp\u00e9rature. Les sorties \u201cOver Voltage Detection\u201d (OVD) et \u201cUnder Voltage Detection\u201d (UVD) indiquent un d\u00e9faut lorsque la tension de sortie est 20% au-dessus ou en-dessous de la valeur normale.<br \/>\nAvec la protection \u201cOver Current\u201d, le designer peut choisir entre le mode&nbsp; LATCH ou FOLD-BACK en fonction du besoin de l\u2019application.&nbsp;La fonction \u201cLatch\u201d coupe le circuit apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9tect\u00e9 une surcharge pendant un certain temps et permet de red\u00e9marrer l\u2019alimentation afin de revenir \u00e0 un mode normal de fonctionnement en ayant retir\u00e9 la charge excessive. De son cot\u00e9, le circuit de protection \u201cfold-back\u201d s\u2019enclenche de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re mais r\u00e9duit la fr\u00e9quence de d\u00e9coupage afin de diminuer la surcharge. Le circuit red\u00e9marrera automatiquement apr\u00e8s avoir diminu\u00e9 la charge de courant.<br \/>\nAjustable par un condensateur externe, la fonction de \u201cSoft Start\u201d autorise une mont\u00e9e progressive de la tension de sortie.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Ce convertisseur travaille avec une fr\u00e9quence de d\u00e9coupage fix\u00e9e en interne \u00e0 2.3 MHz et ne n\u00e9cessite qu\u2019une bobine de seulement 1 \u00b5H. Fonctionnant dans la gamme de temp\u00e9rature de \u221240 \u00b0C \u00e0 +105 \u00b0C, il est encapsul\u00e9 dans un bo\u00eetier compact DFN3030-12 de seulement 3 x 3 mm, bien adapt\u00e9 aux cartes
