Parce que le MML offre une densit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique in\u00e9gal\u00e9e de 400 J\/dm\u00b3, qui permet une r\u00e9duction drastique de la taille et du poids des condensateurs par rapport aux di\u00e9lectriques films traditionnels tels que le polypropyl\u00e8ne ou le polyester. MML offre aussi une temp\u00e9rature de fonctionnement sup\u00e9rieure pouvant atteindre 140 \u00b0C et une grande flexibilit\u00e9 dans la conception, avec notamment la conception de produits de faible \u00e9paisseur permettant de r\u00e9duire l\u2019encombrement global du PCB.<br \/>\nPlusieurs \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es sur des cas concrets d\u2019applications a\u00e9ronautiques (fonctions de contr\u00f4le ou DC-Links). Toutes ont montr\u00e9 une r\u00e9duction d\u2019environ 50 % de la taille et du poids par rapport aux autres technologies de film. La comparaison avec les MLCC est encore plus flatteuse, puisqu\u2019elle montre un gain de poids de 70 % \u00e0 90 %, avec une parfaite stabilit\u00e9 de la capacit\u00e9 en tension, et une d\u00e9rive &lt; 5 % sur toute la plage de temp\u00e9rature. Les applications utilisant plusieurs MLCC empil\u00e9s peuvent d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre remplac\u00e9es par un unique condensateur MML d\u2019empreinte similaire, avec toute la fiabilit\u00e9 accrue qu\u2019offre le di\u00e9lectrique film.<br \/>\nAvec de telles propri\u00e9t\u00e9s, les nouveaux condensateurs MML d\u2019Exxelia sont parfaitement adapt\u00e9s aux alimentations, aux fonctions DC-link, aux convertisseurs de puissance AC\/DC\/AC, aux fonctions de charge\/d\u00e9charge ou de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019\u00e9nergie embarqu\u00e9es sur des applications telles que des avions
