En comparant les performances \u00e0 une m\u00eame fr\u00e9quence de travail, le contr\u00f4leur LTC7821 d\u2019ADI offre un rendement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 3% sup\u00e9rieur. Autres avantages de cette innovation&nbsp;: un faible niveau d\u2019interf\u00e9rences \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques (EMI) et une contrainte r\u00e9duite pour les transistors MOSFET, rendue possible par une commutation douce id\u00e9ale pour les applications de bus interm\u00e9diaire non isol\u00e9 de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, dans la distribution de puissance, dans les datacoms et les t\u00e9l\u00e9coms, mais aussi pour les nouveaux syst\u00e8mes 48V de l\u2019industrie automobile.<\/p>\n<p>Le LTC7821&nbsp;op\u00e8re sur une plage de tensions d\u2019entr\u00e9e comprises entre 10V et 72V (80V abs max.) et peut g\u00e9n\u00e9rer une tension de sortie allant de 0,9 V \u00e0 33,5V, avec des courants dont les amp\u00e9rages sont des multiples de 10, en fonction du choix des composants ext\u00e9rieurs. Dans une application typique 48V \u00e0 12V\/20 A, il est possible d\u2019obtenir 97% de rendement avec une fr\u00e9quence de commutation \u00e0 500 kHz pour le contr\u00f4leur LTC7821. Un rendement de cette ampleur ne peut \u00eatre obtenu avec les convertisseurs abaisseurs synchrones classiques qu\u2019en commutant \u00e0 un tiers de la fr\u00e9quence de fonctionnement, avec pour cons\u00e9quence une taille beaucoup plus importante pour les composants magn\u00e9tiques et les filtres de sortie. Les MOSFET externes commutent \u00e0 une fr\u00e9quence fixe, qui peut \u00eatre programm\u00e9e de 200 kHz \u00e0 1,5 MHz. Les commandes de grille de MOSFET canal N pr\u00e9sentent une imp\u00e9dance de 1 ohm et maximisent le rendement, peuvent piloter de multiples MOSFET en parall\u00e8le pour les applications n\u00e9cessitant une plus grande puissance. En raison de son architecture \u00ab&nbsp;contr\u00f4le en mode courant&nbsp;\u00bb, plusieurs LTC7821 peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s en configuration parall\u00e8le multiphase, avec un excellent partage du courant de charge, permettant ainsi des applications \u00e0 des niveaux de puissance beaucoup plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Le LTC7821 int\u00e8gre de nombreuses fonctionnalit\u00e9s de protection propri\u00e9taires pour assurer des performances robustes dans un large \u00e9ventail d\u2019applications. Les solutions bas\u00e9es sur ce nouveau contr\u00f4leur d\u2019ADI permettent d\u2019\u00e9liminer le fort courant d\u2019appel habituellement associ\u00e9 aux circuits \u00e0 capacit\u00e9s commut\u00e9es, avec pr\u00e9-\u00e9quilibrage des condensateurs lors de la mise en route. Le LTC7821 permet \u00e9galement de surveiller divers param\u00e8tres syst\u00e8me, tels que la tension d\u2019alimentation, le courant et la temp\u00e9rature de fonctionnement, afin de d\u00e9tecter tout dysfonctionnement potentiel. Une r\u00e9sistance de d\u00e9tection assure la protection contre les surintensit\u00e9s. Cette solution innovante permet \u00e9galement de stopper la commutation, avec positionnement de la broche \/FAULT d\u00e8s lors que survient une situation anormale. Un \u00ab&nbsp;timer&nbsp;\u00bb int\u00e9gr\u00e9 permet de programmer les temps de red\u00e9marrage\/reprise appropri\u00e9s.
