Le consortium comprend Thales, Thales Alenia Space et ATR, ainsi que des contributions de Dassault Aviation et de la Direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l&rsquo;Aviation civile (DGAC). Le r\u00e9cepteur GNSS est la pierre angulaire des syst\u00e8mes de navigation a\u00e9rienne. Ce syst\u00e8me traite les signaux provenant des constellations de satellites et du syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;augmentation spatial (SBAS) afin de d\u00e9terminer avec pr\u00e9cision la position, l&rsquo;altitude et la vitesse de l&rsquo;appareil.<\/p>\n<p>Le prototype de r\u00e9cepteur mis au point dans le cadre du projet EDG\u00b2E utilisera les signaux \u00e9mis par les syst\u00e8mes de positionnement am\u00e9ricain, GPS, et europ\u00e9en, Galileo, ainsi que le syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;augmentation spatial (SBAS) multi-constellation EGNOS. Ce projet vise \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser un prototype de d\u00e9monstration d&rsquo;ici 2021. La performance du r\u00e9cepteur prototype sera \u00e9valu\u00e9e lors d&rsquo;une campagne d&rsquo;essais en vol r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par ATR \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un avion d&rsquo;essais de l&rsquo;entreprise.<\/p>\n<p>Amorc\u00e9 par l&rsquo;Agence europ\u00e9enne du syst\u00e8me global de navigation par satellite (GSA), le projet EDG\u00b2E contribuera au lancement de la constellation de satellites Galileo.&nbsp;Pour Philippe Benquet, directeur des activit\u00e9s de R&amp;T d\u2019avionique embarqu\u00e9e de Thales : \u00ab en dirigeant le projet EDG\u00b2E, Thales occupe une place privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e dans le d\u00e9veloppement de r\u00e9cepteurs nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration qui \u00e9quiperont les futurs avions d&rsquo;ici 2025, rendant la navigation plus pr\u00e9cise et donc plus s\u00fbre en pr\u00e9vision de l&rsquo;augmentation du trafic a\u00e9rien. \u00bb Le syst\u00e8me EGNOS est certifi\u00e9 pour une utilisation dans l&rsquo;aviation depuis f\u00e9vrier 2011. Particuli\u00e8rement efficace, il compl\u00e8te le syst\u00e8me GPS am\u00e9ricain pour obtenir de meilleurs niveaux de performance, renfor\u00e7ant les capacit\u00e9s d&rsquo;approche des appareils.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>La nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de syst\u00e8mes EGNOS, EGNOS v3, pr\u00e9sentera un niveau de performance renforc\u00e9 en compl\u00e9tant les syst\u00e8mes de navigation par satellite europ\u00e9en (Galileo) et am\u00e9ricain (GPS). \u00ab Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 EGNOS v3, les usagers de l&rsquo;espace a\u00e9rien b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront d&rsquo;une meilleure qualit\u00e9 de service, d&rsquo;une plus grande pr\u00e9cision et d&rsquo;une couverture \u00e9tendue parmi d&rsquo;autres indicateurs de performance cl\u00e9s \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 Jean-Marc Pieplu, chef du Programme EGNOS \u00e0 la GSA. \u00ab Le programme \u00ab\u00a0Fundamental Element\u00a0\u00bb soutient le d\u00e9veloppement de terminaux et d&rsquo;antennes favorisant l&rsquo;utilisation du syst\u00e8me E-GNSS dans tous les domaines.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cette perspective, le projet EDG2 E constitue une \u00e9tape importante pour la GSA, car il contribuera \u00e0 la disponibilit\u00e9 de produits de haute technologie sur le march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;aviation, exploitant les fonctions multiconstellation \u00e0 double fr\u00e9quence offertes par EGNOS v3 \u00bb. \u00c0 la fin du projet EDG\u00b2E, une nouvelle norme pour les r\u00e9cepteurs de l&rsquo;aviation GPS Galileo et SBAS sera \u00e9tablie, et les premiers r\u00e9cepteurs GPS Galileo \u00e0 double fr\u00e9quence SBAS pour l&rsquo;aviation seront pr\u00eats pour leur d\u00e9veloppement final. Ils contribueront \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des op\u00e9rations, non seulement pour le secteur de l&rsquo;aviation, mais aussi dans le cadre d&rsquo;autres applications critiques du point de vue de
