{"id":117142,"date":"2018-06-27T10:57:38","date_gmt":"2018-06-27T10:57:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/\/un-lhc-haute-luminosite-pour-preciser-les-proprietes-du-boson-de-higgs\/"},"modified":"2018-06-27T10:57:38","modified_gmt":"2018-06-27T10:57:38","slug":"un-lhc-haute-luminosite-pour-preciser-les-proprietes-du-boson-de-higgs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/fr\/un-lhc-haute-luminosite-pour-preciser-les-proprietes-du-boson-de-higgs\/","title":{"rendered":"Un LHC haute luminosit\u00e9 pour pr\u00e9ciser les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s du boson de Higgs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mis en fonction pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 2008 au Cern, le LHC \u2013 Large Hadron Collider &#8211; est un anneau de 27 kilom\u00e8tres de circonf\u00e9rence muni de milliers d&rsquo;aimants supraconducteurs qui permettent de maintenir les particules acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de l&rsquo;anneau. Les particules propuls\u00e9es finissent par entrer en collision \u00e0 une vitesse proche de celle de la lumi\u00e8re. Pour collecter les donn\u00e9es, le collisionneur poss\u00e8de quatre d\u00e9tecteurs de particules : Atlas, CMS, Alice et LHCb.<\/p>\n<p>Avec ces travaux, il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;accro\u00eetre la luminosit\u00e9 du collisionneur d&rsquo;un facteur 5 \u00e0 7 en concentrant le maximum de particules dans l&rsquo;espace le plus r\u00e9duit possible et ainsi d&rsquo;augmenter le nombre de collisions au moment du croisement des deux faisceaux de protons. Cela permettra aux scientifiques d&rsquo;\u00e9tudier des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes rares et d&rsquo;obtenir des mesures de grande pr\u00e9cision indispensables pour pr\u00e9ciser les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s du boson de Higgs. Plus largement, c&rsquo;est un pas de plus vers la compr\u00e9hension du mod\u00e8le standard et des sc\u00e9narios qui en d\u00e9coulent.<\/p>\n<p>La collaboration fran\u00e7aise est port\u00e9e en particulier par le CNRS et le CEA qui travaillent depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es sur les aimants supraconducteurs destin\u00e9s \u00e0 focaliser efficacement les faisceaux. Ces aimants sont une des pi\u00e8ces ma\u00eetresses de tous les futurs acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs. D&rsquo;autres R&amp;D dans ce domaine portent sur les aimants \u00e0 tr\u00e8s hauts champs qui permettront \u00e0 terme d&rsquo;augmenter l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie des collisionneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9quipes du CNRS, du CEA et leurs partenaires universitaires interviendront sur les d\u00e9tecteurs de particules Atlas et CMS : d&rsquo;importantes am\u00e9liorations seront apport\u00e9es aux d\u00e9tecteurs afin qu&rsquo;ils fonctionnent avec de meilleures performances dans des conditions beaucoup plus intenses. Que ce soient pour les d\u00e9tecteurs et les acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs, ces projets se font en collaboration avec des PME fran\u00e7aises. La France envisage \u00e9galement de contribuer au d\u00e9fi du traitement des donn\u00e9es issues des exp\u00e9riences du HL- LHC, au sein des projets scientifiques, qui d\u00e9passeront pour la premi\u00e8re fois l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle de l&rsquo;exabyte. Selon le calendrier actuel, le HL-LHC sera exploit\u00e9 de 2026 \u00e0 2036-37 apr\u00e8s deux phases d&rsquo;arr\u00eat : 2019- 2020 et 2024-2026 (phase durant laquelle le CNRS et le CEA interviendront sur les d\u00e9tecteurs de particules).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/home.cern\/fr\/topics\/large-hadron-collider\">home.cern\/fr\/topics\/large-hadron-collider<\/a><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Au CERN \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, un nouveau chantier vient de s\u2019ouvrir, le grand collisionneur de hadrons.
